Ken Lobb: Killer Instinct Has a Place on the XBLA

Speaking with X360A at X10, Microsoft's General Manager for Live and Creative Director for Microsoft Game Studios, Ken Lobb, said he had fond memories of his brainchild and mentioned that they were constantly in discussions over the title."

Main Rare employees were leaving before Microsoft purchased Rare. Even if the company had stayed with Nintendo, it wouldn't of been the same company.

I really hope Perfect Dark sells well so that Rare decides to bring Killer Instinct to XBLA too.

I think it's more a matter of licensing rights than doubts about its success.

Rare is the developer, but I believe Nintendo has publishing rights. I think the talks they refer to are not talks with Rare but maybe with Nintendo?

Actually no, the Killer Instinct IP is a Rare IP as far as I know... like Banjo, etc.

Hell I would settle for a reworded HD version of old KI games if they don't bring a next gen KI title to the 360.

This should be a no brainer for them. Anyway, when they do bring it out, I'll be buying it...day one. I can't wait to play as Jago. Everyone else was to easy to use while Jago took skill, but I must admit Cindar's ease made his combos just pure fun. *sigh* I can see it now...

I've never really understood the hype behind this game. KI (either 16-bit or 64-bit, u pick) was an ok game when it was released, but in retrospect, it just seems as dull as the Dead or Alive games.
