AWESOME! I hope it doesnt disappoint so i can purchase it immediately.

It's 1680mb and it's on the right hand side of the steam window. It's not on the lists.

Update on SupCom 2 demo.

It completely sucks compared to the first and Forged Alliance. They made it into a normal strategy game compared to how Supreme Commander was suppose to be. I will not be purchasing it unless it becomes like $10-$5 on steam. There's so much fail in the game compared to how it's predecessors.

zagibu5174d ago

Yeah, it's like C&C with strategic zoom now. They removed all cool features, shrank the maps and weapon ranges and introduced a research tree that makes it hard to switch strategies midgame (can't just reclaim and rebuild like in previous games) and favor rushing, because cheap units will be upgraded automatically.

They basically took an almost perfect game and turned it into another starcraft/warcraft/c&c/DoW /etc. How sad.

CaulkSlap5175d ago

I cannot believe how horrible this is. Loved the first one aside from balancing issues. This is a step backwards in every way. The character dialogue during the missions is cringe worthy. Seriously I am just shocked at what an utter piece of garbage this game is.

JimmyJames705175d ago

That's too bad. At least you found out in a free demo before plunking down cash for it.

MajesticBeast5175d ago

Im gonna check it myself hope its good so i can pick it up when the price goes down.

Nihilism5175d ago

Still buying it, can't plan the demo as my downloads for the month are at max and I have to pay for excess, the full game should be a different story to the demo, the pros on the GPG forums are saying that it is good

Proxy5175d ago

Will this game offer replays like GPG net does? I love watching the skilled players face off in 1v1's.

STONEY45174d ago

"can't plan the demo as my downloads for the month are at max and I have to pay for excess"

I'm guessing you live in Australia? That really sucks how you guys have capped internet.

peeps5175d ago

gonna give this a go. gave the first demo a try but couldn't really get into it. i do enjoy my rts games though so looking frwd to trying the demo

peeps5175d ago

just finished my download :p gotta love 50mb broadband lol

Nihilism5175d ago

damn you, i'm on crappy wireless internet, 1.5mb/s 6 gig/month :(

toaster5175d ago

Dang dchalfont you got it bad! I'm getting 3MB/s and unlimited per month. And this is in a third world country.

Nihilism5175d ago

:0, that sucks then, australia is lagging behind...literally.

But my old internet was a combined phone/broadband that was $109 a month, my new crappy internet is only $39 a month, I'd rather pocket the extra $'s and have slow internet.

Gotta shave a few bills down. Not enough money coming in, too much going out, besides, my new gtx480 isn't gonna pay for itself :D

History of Real-Time Strategy: The Downfall (2004 - 2010)

VGChatz's Taneli Palola: "There's no question that during these years the overall popularity of the genre took a significant hit, as most games within it specialized even further by adding new elements from other types of games into their gameplay loops and consequently became increasingly niche as the years wore on.

However, this doesn't in any way mean that the period was devoid of great games. Quite the contrary, in fact. Arguably some of the greatest RTS titles ever made came out around this time, and much of this was because many developers were increasingly familiar and comfortable with adding new twists and gameplay elements to the familiar formula. As such, even when the genre's popularity dwindled, many studios were still creating excellent and groundbreaking titles almost every year, just for a smaller audience than in years past."

those were fun years red alert star craft command and conquer well when westwood studio made good games before EA brought them like bioware...

Vegamyster1813d ago

Aside from C&C 4, the other C&C's from EA were all good/great. The genre nose dived once Moba's rose in popularity, even Petroglyph Games (ex-Westwood employees) haven't had a hit since Star Wars: Empire at War (2006), all there games got abandoned after launch.

Are the free Xbox Games With Gold titles for March 2016 any good?

Neil writes "The Xbox Games With Gold scheme for March 2016 is nearly in play, bringing four new free games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. But is the program actually worth getting excited about? Are the Games With Gold titles for March 2016 actually any good, or is it just another waste of your precious download limits?

Well, March is most definitely going to be a bit of a slow burner, but it'll finish on a note that is higher than anything we've seen before."

Can't wait to get stuck into Sherlock again, it got lost in my backlog but having it on digital will encourage me to venture back in.

Dewitt2979d ago

Super excited for both as I have never played them. SH especially intrigues me.

UltraNova2979d ago

LOtF is a Dark Souls rip-off, in the good kind of way, albeit far easier ...that said its a pretty decent, yet short power fantasy light RPG with good visuals.

Now that's free its even better! Give it a try!

creeping judas2979d ago

Never felt like playing full price for Lords Of The Fallen, but I will definitely DL that game and play it. And since there seems to be a lot interest in Sherlock Holmes, I guess I will try that as well.

PS3Freak2979d ago

I'm playing it right now, it's actually a very fun game. Very rewarding when you figure out how to kill an enemy for the first time.
