505 Games Announces The Swarm Release Date for Xbox 360 with New Screenshots

505 Games U.S. and Buka Studios has announced the release date for the third-person shooter The Swarm will be released on the Xbox 360 May 2010. They included some new screenshots for you to check out as well from the game.

Hothead Games was quite busy the last year. After developing the well-regarded Penny Arcade titles, they moved onto the DeathSpank games with Ron Gilbert. Four games and two franchises in, Hothead is doing pretty good, but it’s "what is next?" question that really grabs player’s attention.

Hexus: The Swarm Preview

Currently in development by Buka Studios, The Swarm is a third-person shooter that drops you in the middle of a nuclear fallout after in alien invasion in Moscow, Russia.

Due for release on Xbox 360, the single player campaign will feature a series of moral choices, forcing you to choose between absorbing alien DNA and skills at the cost of gradually become a monster, or retaining your own humanity to fight off the alien invaders.

1UP writes: "Conceived as a research-and-development experiment in group-based artificial intelligence, Swarm's a comedic strategy game where a group of man-made creatures aim to resuscitate the planet after an environmental disaster.
