GamingXP: Game collections on the Wii now appear even more than "real" games. The "Game Party 3" is one such. Whether the new game from the House can impose Farsight,
Sherry Baldwin: "I was kind of excited at the beginning of the week when we planned out three features for the current generation of home consoles… That was until I was told my point of view was to pick the worst Wii games released to help potential consumers avoid any “shovelware” as our editor put it. Thankfully there are a lot of quality games on the little white box that many consider to be a game changer in the industry. However we’re not focusing on the great titles the Wii has to offer."
I can't argue with most of those titles, because I never even heard of most of them. LoL
Unfortunately, it's everything else in Game Party 3 that'll hold back the experience, specifically the controls. When you're making a motion-based mini-game collection, you'd think that'd be the first thing to focus on, especially as it's now the third iteration of one of the Wii's best selling franchises. But it's obvious that the number of games was the main focus here, resulting in the "19 Hit Games" you'll find here today. Sure there's a lot, but when none of them are any good, what's the point?
GoFanboy writes: "Game Party 3 is a collection mini games which includes remote only controls and is an easy pick up and play format although it feels developers just went through the motions incorporating the game into the Wii interface. Developers miss providing an on screen meter to measure power, which can guide movements for more accuracy. Without this meter, actions seem arbitrary as players must adapt to the game's physics system instead of adjusting their own natural movements. It's like playing a Tiger Woods golf game without a meter."
