Hideo Kojima Takes Peace Walker Delay Seriously

Andriasang: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker's delay came as a huge surprise, coming a week after retail posters for the game had been printed and a day after Konami had kicked off its lavish Piece Walker promotional site.

Following Friday's announcement, Peace Walker director and Metal Gear series father Hideo Kojima made a post at the Kojima Productions blog concerning the delay.

To say Kojima feels sorry about the delay is an understatement.

u have to remember, he is looking at this game as MGS5 not just a spin-off. I still need to get some answers about to Big Boss.

I feel sorry for Metal Gear Solid Raiden, i don't see it topping the level on detail found in 4, make me wish he was heading that project too. Specially since when he announce peace walker he made it seems as if it was unimportant to him.

I remember him saying this is the real sequel to 4, ohh well even though i still want another console MGS i know this game will be an instant hit.

i cant wait to play this game and see how the Patriots were form and see how Outer Heaven began(Hope we see rookie solid snake)

The US release date is still the same. The game was only delayed in Japan.

hey man, he will eventually take Rising's lead once Peace Walker is released. He can't allow himself to release a "Metal Gear Solid" game that is not on par with the previous Metal Gear games. Trust me, he only talks, but when it comes to reality, he goes back and direct it. He did the same with MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4.

Don't forget some Metal Gears have been released without his complete supervision. And i as i recall they were horrible... Like Metal Gear 2 or something, and Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2, and i think Portable Ops wasn't his completely as well (But it was good)...

MGS:R is more like a DEAL with Konami and M$, that's it, just Watch the M$ E309 conference about MGS:R, Master-Kojima said that SNAKE got Nothing To Do with This Game and knowing Ho Much Love and Dedication put on his Masterpiece, He Really Don't Like The Idea of This Game, that's why he's putting So Much Effort on PEACE WALKER, at the Same Time This Game is a DEAL with Kojima Productions and SONY in order to Push the Hardware Sales of The PSP/PSPGo

I'm Going To Buy a PSPGo MGS:PW Bundle/whatever just for the Sake of The MGS Franchise even if the Normal PSP MGS:PW Bundle is more cheap... I don't care lol

I wish he was working on metal gear solid raiden, the level of detail in 4 was amazing and that something we are definably going to lose with him not heating that project.

I still dont know how a fell about Peace Walker been the real MGS5 but hell when has Hideo Kojima let any gamers down. Take ur time making one of the best PSP games

I know he likes to drink and Itaski(spelling) and Kojima have both admitted to getting drunk together but with the stories in this guys games I want to have a few drinks and see what he is really like and how relaxed he gets.

You do know Spiderman4 is going to have Peter Parker as a scrawny little high school student before he got his powers. Very retarded in my opinion and Sam Raimi is not directing anymore since he hated the idea which means no Bruce Campbell cameo either.

They should have stuck with the Lizard Man or whatever his name is as the next villain. But in any case... different actors and different plot and different direction from all the past three Spiderman movies.

Spiderman 3 sucks compared to the first two in my opinion.... /rant

They were pushing for a "higher profile villain" when Raimi wanted to use Vulture. They did the same to him with Venom (he wanted only Sandman) and look at the boring wreck 3 turned out to be. No negotiations, so they ended it, and the company decided reboot.

after Raimi decided he couldn't be creative with the movie and release it by summer 2011. When he walked away, the entire cast went with. So Sony decided to reboot the franchise director, cast, and all.
