Metal Gear Solid: Rising's Raiden Has Changed

-MGS4 is a fantastic game, but visually it is way overrated. Lots of games look better than MGS4. I was just comparing MW2 on the 360 to MGS4 on the PS3 and there was no doubt that MW2 looked better. Assassin's Creed looks better. Resident Evil 5 looks better. It's a good looking title, but it's far from being the best on consoles.

I have no doubt that Rising will look better.-

Why do japanese developers make androgenous characters or pretty boys? The only reason Snake looked and spoke the way he did is because they were going for a Kurt Russell clone. If it wasn't for that, the lead would have looked like a teenager(Raiden) w/ white or blonde hair. How did someone so young become so battle hardened? The characters never fit the story. Spiked hair teenagers w/ skills of battle tested men whether it's physically or intellectually. Maybe thats why they lost their footing in the video game market

Thanx. I always felt that way though. Even their female characters were the same way. Lil school girls and women that are not evenly proportioned seem to dominate their games. Seems as if they have a fetish for child pornography and/or breasts. Titles such as Mr. Mosquito and Railroad Tycoon show me how much we differ in taste. They can't seem to let go of the 2-D era and keep rehashing that boring genre. The industry has passed them by.

And since Kojima isn't directing it then the story won't even matter as far as the MGS universe goes. So not only will you have a flopped spinoff where you only play with the worst character in the Metal Gear universe but you'll also have a story that will be more like a poorly written fanfic.

I actually think that's how they will continue the story in KillZone 2. they will probably say that it wasn't really Viscari. That ending was terrible. How do you make a game end with a cutscene of someone else killing the final boss? They better do better next time. There was nothing orginal about that game. It was straight cookie cutter. The tank sequnece was linear and lasted 3 minutes in a courtyard battle. You never did anything except run and shoot. No real vehicular battles, fighting while paratrooping, air dog fights, or memorable battles. That's why people said it wasn't that great of a game. Graphics were stellar but the hit detection and story were rancid. I walked away feeling unfulfilled. Even the MP was broken. No customizable weapons were not found and the armor didn't hold up to well to enemy fire. The ground and sky turrets that were deployed barely targeted people and were easily destroyed.

MGS = Snakes period. This spin is not going to do well at all. Just watch as I've been DEEP into this game since 1998. People see it for what it is already and it's not even out yet. Bring back Snakes, or let it fail beyond belief. This is just like having Batman and Robin. Only take out Batman and leave Robin in... you think people will like that Kojima?

I'm actually greatful that Kojima ended the Metal Gear SOLID saga. (At least to some point). Since I'm probably the biggest MGS fan on the planet I really hope that new games starring Snake is no more. I don't want the story to be ruined just because the developers want money.

I Miss the old Raiden. How Cares if he was whining , he was quicker then snake, had a better combo then snake, heck for his 1st mission he took down a bunch of Metal Gears and hey for hold a sword that he never got training in he handled it pretty well (ill admit to that but that doesn't make him a ninja =/). This whole ninja thing is out of hand now. Sure he looks cool but they ruined a character that could have been more then just some damn ninja robot.
