Nintendo Details Upcoming Game Plan

Iwata provided a glimpse at some of Nintendo's plans for this year's E3. The company plans on showing software for the Wii Vitality Sensor, a peripheral that first saw its debut at last year's E3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the new Zelda will also be shown at E3.

Sounds like E3 will be a good one. I can't wait to see what will be in store for the new Pokemon games. Last Story will be interesting to find out what that is about. Plus Goldensun and info on the new Zelda. This should be a great E3 for Nintendo with all these new things.

KruLLit5210d ago (Edited 5210d ago )

I think Nintendo will have a good e3, but it will never be like 2006 :)

damnightmare5210d ago

Sounds great!

Really looking forward to Zelda Wii and Golden Sun DS >:D

just like sonic i always say that but at the end its boring
but this time if i put my expectation lower maybe it will be perfect

Gamer_Z5210d ago

I always wanted to play a next gen zelda game but i guess thats not going to happen anytime soon, well not until they kill off the wii

YoungKingDoran5210d ago

dude zelda isnt about graphics, zelda is like the poster child for gameplay over graphics. and i think twilight princess had great graphics anyway. mainly due to its really good art style and so many little touches it had. im replaying links awakening atm and im loving it and every way. i like alot of other people can appreciate graphics for what they are. i realise its a gameboy game, but i read all the time "oh that game is looking dated" ... yeah genius, because it is a ps1 game. graphics should always be based on the limitations that existed when that game was created, not how they look in comparison to todays game. ok im done

asdr3wsfas5209d ago

...next gen zelda? You know OOT basically made the 3d action puzzle game? You're still playing "next-gen" zelda everytime you put in God of War.

hatchimatchi5209d ago

eh, saying zelda isn't about graphics is partially untrue. Yes gameplay always seems to come first but zelda is one of the flagship series that showcases what the system is capable of. Pretty much every zelda game showcases some of the best visuals available on the games respective console (links awakening blew me away back when it was released and it still looks great today). Heck, majoras mask was only playable with the expansion pack for the n64.

Saying you won't be able to play a nex gen zelda on the wii? That's silly, mario galaxy looks absolutely fantastic. Nintendo is capable of putting out fantastic visuals, they just choose not to in most cases.

Nugan5210d ago

So Metroid: Other M will be released before Galaxy 2? That's shocking, considering that SMG2 is supposed to be all but finished.

asdr3wsfas5209d ago

They probably don't want NSMB and SMG2 to interfere with each other's sales.

i had assumed galaxy was coming out in a month or so, i didn't realize it was gonna be late in the year.

i can't wait to see the new zelda, i'm either gonna shout for joy or throw my laptop out the 3rd floor window. lol.

asdr3wsfas5209d ago

Don't know if you feel the same, but I keep hoping for more link to the past and less OOT.

hatchimatchi5209d ago

I'd be fine with that. One thing i love about LttP is that hyrule feels like an actual thriving kingdom. OOT is nothing short of amazing but the castle and surrounding grounds are pretty bare bones in comparison.

asdr3wsfas5209d ago

That's a good way of putting it.

What I liked about OOT once is that everything is there pretty much to solve puzzles. At this point I want to boomerang some enemies. I hope wm+ helps with the fighting. Puzzles are cool but collecting heart *pieces* is too much for me.

My top 3 are Mario 3, Mario World and Mario 64. Mario Odyssey is also excellent, and I enjoyed Sunshine but didn't care for the Galaxy series.

bunt-custardly476d ago

Nioh games definitely up there at the top alongside Ninja Gaiden BLK.

LoveSpuds476d ago

There is a decent fan base for the Nioh games, but still think they are criminally overlooked and under appreciated.

I just bought the PS5 collection to replay them again with all their DLC, a sweet collection for my games shelf for sure.

Yea, those gardens haven't been plowed in over 10 years now though. Imagine if they cultivated it, let it grow again.

Starman69476d ago

Amazing what ya can do with a samurai sword lol 🤣

tehpees3476d ago

The honourable mention though.

TheSenorCheese476d ago

originally it wasn't going to be included because of their take on Samus' character. But the gameplay's actually not bad.

Vits475d ago

Honestly, I don't know if we can even blame them for that take. Nintendo's Sakamoto was credited as the writer and from what we learned later with the Retro Studios interviews for the Prime series, Nintendo apparently never saw Samus as this stoic badass that most of the west imagined her as. Going as far as describing her as "motherly".

shinoff2183476d ago

Ninja Gaiden was dope but I don't really care for alot of their games.

Well it almost killed Metroid so…

PhillyDillyDee721d ago

Yeah we all loved how you took a stoic badass and turned her into a whiny shrew. All those writers should be sacked.

Terry_B721d ago

Sometimes, I doubt that Reggie was that great for Nintendo after all.
