The Playstation blog is on a roll today with God of War 3, Heavy Rain, and WKC. Please don't let a crappy PSN store ruin this day.

Marceles5215d ago

lol I know, the updates for the last few weeks haven't been all that good. "God of War! WKC! Heavy Rain! Store update: New Super Rub-A-Dub demo and new Eye of Judgment DLC".

...and there's always one guy happy on the blog too. "Yaaaay! I've been waiting for a new Rub-A-Dub demo! What about those free Eye of Judgment cards??" "They're coming soon." "Yaaaay thanks Sony!!"

While everyone else is thinking "what the hell is this?? Where's the good stuff?"

WildArmed5214d ago

Aye. but if you look at the Eu PStore/ jap pstore..
there isn't anything good coming except the U2 DLC (if u wanna pay 4 em that is)

Bnet3435214d ago

Well it's good that they will release a demo. I want to see what it's all about. Certainly looks good.

Great there will be a demo for this. I would like to see a GoW3 demo myself. I didnt get in on the beta nor do I want to go out and buy district 9 or the GoW collection in order to play it. It should be available to all psn users by now.

sorry for the rant.

ThanatosDMC5213d ago

Was that an Ipad? HAHAHA! I'll probably get this game. Hopefully at a discounted price.

just find a buddy that has district 9 and you can get him to bring it over then you just download the gow 3 demo to ur ps3 hdd. its simple thats what i did....its def a short demo but thats good gives you a taste of the epicness but doesn t spoil the complete game.....its gunna be an awesome game and dont worry if you cant find someone who has district 9 then just wait till march then rent it or buy it. its def a either of the 2 type of gsme. on topic heavy rain looks cool but im not sure about the qte. alot of people are gunna rent this...graphics are are amazing, but i guess it all depends on if the storyline can pull me into it like a movie. people love movies so people should love an interactive movie so will see but im not gunna be hast and say its the best game ever.......when it comes out ill be the judge of it....but till now im on the fence...

I agree. The God of War 3 demo should have been on there a while ago. I was one of the first to recieve the demo back in August. I got it before it was allowed to be given out. Almost everyday since, I have played the sh*t out of that thing.

I think everyone should be allowed to play it.....except MetalGearRising.

ps3hasonlyflopgames5214d ago

kaaos6665214d ago

blair_enigma5214d ago

MaximusPrime5214d ago

ps3 only has flop games?

and yet PS3 is outselling xbox 360 for 2nd year running?

it doesnt make sense.
If PS3 outselling xbox 360, surely PS3 games are brilliant.

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1271d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1271d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1270d ago (Edited 1270d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.

Have you played Detroit? While it’s my personal favorite, I fully understand many preferring Heavy Rain more. I’m glad you enjoyed Heavy Rain too.

bouzebbal1428d ago

def. one of my top 3 best experiences on PS3

ClayRules20121428d ago

bouzebbal

That’s awesome to hear! What’re the other 2 best experiences?

akaFullMetal1428d ago

Great game, need to get started on Detroit soon.

ClayRules20121428d ago

Glad you enjoyed the game! Yes, Detroit is a masterpiece of a game, and their best work to date “in my opinion”

ClayRules20121428d ago

Wow, 10 years...and yet, still one of the best/most emotional/thrilling gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

So grateful to Sony for believing in Quantic Dream’s vision for this game, and giving them a chance. I’ll never forget David Cage saying “We want to challenge the player, but not with the controller, but mentally, with their decisions of “How far would you go to save someone you love” Well, they broke my emotional gamer heart lol.

My teenage son refuses to play this game, because I’ve told him in little detail the emotional impact it had on me all those years ago. Maybe one day he will.

Still have my origami crane they teach you how to make when you're installing for the first time.

it's been 10 years? wow, that was so fast, I feel like this console gen went fast as well although it hasn't. I really look forward to the PS5 this holiday season though.
