Its sad that games like this exemplify JP devs inability to make games for HD consoles.
Many Western devs for that matter.
Taking an entire strategy RPG series into a third person mech action game is a HUGE leap. Going with SE's track record this generation it'll most likely bomb to be fully honest.
The quality products from SE this gen have been :
The World Ends With You
FF13 (Speaking as someone who's complete his Japanese version with 120hours of play. I feel it was a great game)
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (Reviews from Japan hail it as awesome, and I for one can't wait to get my hands on it as well)
The rest of the games have been more miss than hit, and while some will find them enjoyable it's just not as credible as their track record from previous generations.
I hope this game DOES end up being great, as well as Nier, but it's a stretch right now to be optimistic about either.
