So much for being a balanced analyst.

Seekerofthewind5150d ago (Edited 5150d ago )

Wow. xD Don't get me wrong, at face-value the Vitality sensor can be seen as a pointless add-on. But when one really thinks about it...the vitality sensor could easily add a layer of gameplay that has rarely, if ever, been seen before. Especially to the Survival Horror genre, but also action games, zombie-based FPS games, Trauma Center games, and detective-based games.

Either way, this is Pachter talking about something involving Nintendo. Anybody shocked?

Noctis Aftermath5149d ago

The vitality sensor is nintendo getting a big head, for games it has extremely limited uses, maybe it's meant for the next Wii Fit type game?

Seekerofthewind5149d ago

Nintendo releasing 80 billion controller shells would be them getting a big head. Oh wait, Nintendo only (to my knowledge) released one, as a free pack-in with a specific game.

Either way, the Vitality Sensor actually seems like it could have some really good uses. One of the more commonly used examples would be games that are based on classic (read: substance over random shocks) horror.

This will be good!

More Mr. Pachter's responses later this week.. those gaming blogs :)

Anyways Pachter is the catalyst for CoffeewithChess to get more traffic.

CoffeewithChess5149d ago

Except the difference in this case is Mr. Pachter responded directly to an article that was posted on the blog.

It's not simply taking a quote from Pachter from another article/video, the quote is original from Pachter to the blog.

hazelamy5149d ago

Mr. Pachter said, "We can agree to disagree about the Wii Vitality Sensor. It looks tremendously stupid to me, but I'm sure I'm not the target market.

i agree with pachter 100%
i wonder who will be the target market for that thing anyway,
hypochondriacs?

N4g_null5149d ago

So patcher plays games who knew I wonder what he is playing now. No wonder he is such a fanboy. Also patch has grey hair he may need the sensor more than gamers. Old people always fight the old folks home. He better brush up on the wii bowling before he goes and gets crushed by some ones grand ma. Lol

Can we all petition to have them removed? they are doing my head in! at least advertise something that is relevant to gamers. Instead i am greeted by some ill/dehydrated looking men posing, and it is really pissing me off now. it puts me off wanting to visit here.

white teeth ones too...

Thus why Adblock was invented I guess.

Oh...and all the warnings from my security system about N4G is always fun aswell.

Smacktard5251d ago

Hmm, I was getting those ads on a ton of different sites. I figured it was because I was doing google searches about weightlifting and exercising and stuff, so spyware was relaying that information, and I was getting ads based around what I was searching for =U

Last_Life5251d ago

I have just gotten Silent Hill Shattered Memories ads on top, and some killing zombies free game and a Digimon kid "earn your degree on game design" on right. I must be your malware, when I used Windows I saw a lot of sh¡tty ads on N4G. On Mac just gaming ads.
