Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it will release Puzzle Chronicles for PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Nintendo DS on February 18th 2010, with downloadable editions for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 set to follow shortly after. Developed by respected Puzzle game creators, Infinite Interactive, Puzzle Chronicles mixes colour-matching puzzles with role-playing themes and plotlines, allowing users to enhance their character by succeeding in various puzzle challenges and defeating the many opponent forces that confront them during the course of the adventure.
Ex: The Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week is now if effect and it brings discounts on four different Xbox LIVE Arcade puzzle games. Bust-A-Move, Tower Bloxx Deluxe, Gyromancer and Puzzle Chronicles and are all on sale for up to 50% off their normal price.
Puzzle Chronicles is one of the latest Puzzle RPG games from the makers of the first Puzzle RPG game, Puzzle Quest. Something of a surprise hit, Puzzle Quest spawned a genre and other developers and publishers have been scrambling to fill demand for this new, semi-niche casual game style. It's only natural, then, that the originators of the genre are themselves continuing to tweak the formula and release iterative derivatives in an attempt to recapture the glory of their initial success.
MSXbox: Infinite Interactive, the makers of the smash hit Puzzle Quest, brings gamers another genre blending game called Puzzle Chronicles.
