Prediction: Modern Warfare 3 to be developed by Sledgehammer Games

I predict that Infinity Ward will be making a Call of Duty MMO. My main evidence for that prediction is:

1. Activision has stated openly that they plan to have a monthly subscription service for the Call of Duty franchise, not unlike World of Warcraft.

2. Activision would need a trusted developer to work on this. They know the kind of quality that IW puts out, and seeing how quality was the reason for World of Warcraft's success (Blizzard Entertainment), they would be wise to follow in its footsteps.

That is really all I'm going on, but I think the first point at least semi-confirms that a subscription-based CoD is on the way.

It's considered cool right now to bash on Call of Duty or anything produced by Activision Blizzard. Funny, because it just so happens that Activision Blizzard is responsible for some of the highest quality games of the past decade.

Acta/Blizzard have brought the industry some truly great games. but i do feel IW deserves some of the hit the are receiving the Quality of COD4 was way above the quality that went into MW2.

I think the point of bringing in Sledgehammer is so that it won't be the same as IW.

IW did a good job of MW and even MW2 has its fans (though probably not on the PC), but they are rather similar games. You can't do that a 3rd time and ask for another $60. Every series has to have innovation otherwise it slowly dies, even Activision know this. MW3 will face a lot more competition next time around with MoH, they need it to be something different in order to sell well.

is overrated. i still enjoy mw2, the design is nothing spectacular, but the game is fun, although glitchy.

IF IW doesn't make no more g a y of duty it really wouldn't matter y cause it wasnt spectacular about g a y of duty anyway. MW2 is definitely over hype n overrated. it has nothing on U2 Gow 2 n killzone 2 n halo n bad company. mw2 was meant 4 noobs n campers.
