And considering how little hype and fanfare surrounded Pallurikio's release, that's understandable. A trailer for the bouncy platformer had caught my eye some time ago, and when I expressed my interest in the game one of the developers from Playstos - a particularly fabulous fellow gay gamer working in the industry no less - asked if I'd like to write a review of Pallurikio. Am I really so shallow as to nominate a game based purely on the developer's orientation, or did Pallurikio earn the spot on its own merits?"

I'm sat in a hotel meeting room in a mildly scruffy corner of Milan, just around the corner from the offices of the motorsport game specialist Milestone. Irvin Zonca, physics game designer, is explaining - with soulful enthusiasm - what this independent developer discovered about the spirit of the World Rally Championship when it started working with the sport's teams and drivers some three years ago."
So Pallurikio isn't going to be the most unique WiiWare game you'll ever play, as its design seems to be a new take on an idea Nintendo fans have seen before. There are even one or two other downloadables already available in the Wii Shop that cover some of this same territory, too, like Equilibrio -- or future releases, like Nicalis' NightSky. A game could do worse than be compared to an excellent Nintendo effort like Kirby Canvas Curse, though, so there may be something here that platformer fans will enjoy.

Pallurikio plays like a cell phone game or a Flash game. There is nothing to recommend or build on here. This is a bad game and does little more than cost 1000 points and take up space on my Wii. There are all sorts of fun games to be downloaded on the Wii. This is not one of them.
