Den of Geek: Diner Dash Review

Den of Geek writes: "Who would have thought, after playing this game and the dozens following it on the PC, that I would want to play it again on the Nintendo DS? Nevertheless, I have and it was ace!

You would think that the original Diner Dash on DS, particularly after playing newer ones on PC, would feel old. But, to be honest, playing it on a new medium in a completely different way gives it a new lease of life. In fact, I think it works even better on the DS, despite the smaller screen. It's much easier to manage with the stylus and just feels more natural somehow."

Diner Dash now available on PSN

Andrew Plempel on US Playstation.Blog writes:

"For the uninitiated, Diner Dash was originally a PC game release in the early 2000's. Remember that time? People were into Napster; oh the world was so naïve. Ahem, sorry this old man does tend to ramble on a bit.

Anywhoozers, Diner Dash followed the story of Flo, an office worker who was just gosh darn tired of working on spreadsheets and TPS reports that she quit. While wandering the streets, deciding what to do next, Flo stumbles upon a diner for sale. [Warning: spoiler alert. Just kidding] A light bulb flashes in her head and she decides to buy the diner, and become her own boss! OK, this is where you guys step in."

I'm more interested in Street Fighter 4, BioShock 2 and Bionic Commando. Also don't foget that Burnout Paradise Ultimate came out for the PC. That is a good one.

You think they can trap lighting in a bottle twice?

madreaper5556d ago

These are the people who also made System Shock 1 and 2.
Make games with a unique and involving atmosphere is something these guys do and do well.
So unless they try stepping outside of what they do well, Bioshock 2 will be good as well.

They even had a knack for saving the Sonic series. Remember..

Bioware = excellent developers. I just hope they keep up the trend they have going for quality stuff.

Metal Gear Solid 4 basically sealed 2008 as being worth it, everything else was gravy.

DLC for starters and lack of PSN integration.I would have bought the packs by now but Konami fouled it up.
