To better grasp the horrors within, it's instructive to compare Metro 2033 to Fallout 3. In both, the remnants of civilization are besieged by mutants, bandits, and the invisible sickness of radiation poisoning. Yet while they are superficially similar, at their core the games are nothing alike. Fallout is riddled with in-jokes. Metro is as serious as cancer.
The game looks too clean without it.
i dont. it hurts my eyes. but im fairly ssensitive when it comes to that sort of stuff.
A look back at 4A Games' admirably consistent post-apocalyptic shooter franchise.
Amazon has announced its gaming lineup for May 2024 and it is one of the better months especially if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber.

Amazon
Games line-up looks Highly Promising.
Yeah if you Never played those games before.
or you just started gaming for the First time in your life it would seem "Promising "
I think based just on the summary above, I would prefer Fallout 3 to a game like Metro 2033 because I don't think I could play a game that was purely depressing and bleak. With that said, I found Fallout 3 to be pretty depressing itself, so if Metro 2033 is even more serious, then I don't think I would want to play it for too long. I stopped playing Fallout 3 because it was so bleak in my opinion.
yea...let's compare a linear 1st person shooter to an open world RPG that only share a similar setting...that is like comparing mario to dragon age orgins because they both have castles. I could see IGN doing it now, while mario takes a much more humorous and cartoony approach, dragon age orgins is more serious....
I'd rather play fallout new vegas.
i could be wrong but is the whole game based in the metro? (first time i've heard of the game) if so the fact that the world outside is a wastland won't really matter all that much... and wudnt it get a bit boring? i mean the metro's in fallout 3 did my head in lol
i'll keep an eye on it but for my post appolyptic fix for 2010 i'm waiting on more details for fallout: new vegas
I think fallout is better. There is so much you can do. Plus I don't want to spend all of my time underground. I enjoyed traveling in the wasteland.
