Nomura announcement not necessarily a hugely requested title - retraction

The internet was on fire when early leaks of Gamega info said Nomura's interview had him hyping up a "requested" new game. RPG Land got its hands on the magazine, however, and upon looking at the scans, that is not what he said.

FF7 remake would cost about the same to make as FFXIII or FF7 AC.

But the difference is they would get a LOT more sales from the remake than FFXIII or Advent Children.

So I don't get why they don't just make the ultimate remake that EVERYONE is waiting for.

I'd also like an FF6 remake if possible. ^_^

It's too soon for KH3. He's already said the next KH game after 358, BBS, and Coded will likely not be KH3.

I just don't understand... Square makes games for the fans or just for personal gratification? If everybody wants the freaking FFVII remake then make the damn remake! They have been doing remakes since the PSX like crazy but they just can't make the one that everybody wants most? Oh yeah, an HD FFVII remake it's not as cheap and easy to make as a DS game and probably not as profitable.

Nomura already said the secret ending is about 10 minutes long!
He also said there will be character(s) in the secret ending that we will be seeing for the first time.

"Nomura: Yes there is one. Except this time it isn’t a pre-rendered movie that gives a hint as to how the story will develop later, but is shown like an event scene. There is dialog, and in all it runs about ten minutes. It is set up as one episode. Instead of showing us what will happen in the future, it is more like a true ending. I would really like everyone to see it. There are characters that will only show up there in it as well."

Not much info to check when it's a leak. Lots of other places had similar leaks too. They're not even manning up and issuing retractions (English sites or Japanese ones) though, which is sad.

So anyway, here's hoping for Bushido Blade 3, eh? Eh? No? Just me? :(

I'm not a fan of remakes. Maybe a remastered thing like GOW Collection, and with improved FMV's, but I just happen to believe that there's no need to mess with greatness. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since PS3 is BC with PS games, it's not like you're missing out because your old school PS is lost or broken.

I could see a ff7 remake to at least drop the aliased sd models , but it doesnt need to be something with the budget of a whole new FF game , unlike what so many wants and expect .

And by that standard , i'd rather see an HD xenogears anyway .
