This week on 'Best Of Indie Games', IndieGames.com take a look at some of the top independent PC Flash/downloadable titles released over this last week.
The delights in this edition include a shooter that pays tribute to classic and modern day shoot 'em ups, an action-oriented platformer where you play as a blaster-toting secret agent, a new submission for the Experimental Gameplay Project's art game theme, a procedurally-generated arena shooter that took inspiration from Warning Forever, and a retro-style platform game that involves destroying robots and collecting coffee.

DIYGamer: "One of the most important displays in contemporary fine art, the Venice Biennial, has featured the work of Belgian indie devs Tale of Tales, among other game-related artwork. The Neoludica sponsored showcase is taking place in two locations: the Centro Culturale Candiani in Mestre, where “commercial game consoles and video game history artifacts introduce the audience to the context of games culture” and in Sala Laneri, where “the exhibition focuses on the work of independent artists.”
The wealth of free games available online puts store shelves to shame. You may need to be willing to look past dated graphics, but there are some gems that deserve your attention, this is just a taster. From the artistic to the downright ridiculous, there’s something you’ll like out there, and it won’t cost a penny.
I just tried it, it's exactly like Scorched Earth, so that's a big plus in my book!
