i think the Iphone is still the standard that everyother phone is trying to get too. Not that the Iphone doesn't have its problems. Unfortunately when I moved I had to drop at@t since they are not available in Montana, so its laughable that they use bozeman in the comercial of where they have coverage, its actually someone elses coverage that they are borrowing and no data. So I have the storm. Bleck, worst smartphone I have ever used. Slow, glitchy, and very unfun. I haven't tried the palm yet or the droid, so I am waiting patiently for my contract to be up. On the possitve note At&t is taking over the alltel in this area so I will be able to use my iphone again if I want next year. Come on Google, step it up.

thumbs up google :) I'm a big IPhone fan and waiting for the G4 but i hate Apple ^^ The IPhone is by far the best mobile phone on the market, so it will be really hard for google to take on the 100k apps for the IPhone.

There are 75,000 apps for the HTC Hero, so I don't think it will be too long before Apple loses its edge. Also all of those 75,000 apps are free, unlike Apple.

I guess "best" is very relative to what you are looking for in a handset. The iPhone shines brightly because of it's apps. It does nothing else that many other phones on the market cannot do, or have not already done, and with every other mobile OS having access to some form of an app market, that advantage comes down to developer support. The iPhone is also very accessible to non-tech people, which helps it in the mainstream. That, for me, is another con, because it feels too simple at times, and it is too locked down, unsurprisingly with an Apple product. It still hasn't even moved beyond that static background. It does what it does well, but I definitely would never call it the best phone on the market.

Sounds bad@ss, but no full keyboard is a big downer, imo. I've got my eyes on the N900, but it's not likely to show up in Canada for a while. The Palm Pre seems to be the best we're likely to see for another 6 months or so.

It really is a shame the N900 has a resistive touch screen.

I own the Droid and I'm a little envious of the Nexus One's 512MB of RAM and 1GHz snapdragon. It will be coming to Verizon as the HTC Passion later this year.

I'm thinking about getting the LG Eve. It has a full touch screen like the iPhone, but it also has a slide out qwerty keyboard.

I hope this phone is successful, as it will lower the price of the iphone, and any other competition that comes along.
My Sony W900i has become very outdated and in need of replacement.

Congratz to google for entering the competition, but where i live T-mobile is terrible, and that's not the greatest looking phone.

i thought this was a videogame news site is N4g turning into lets just post whatever we want on the off chance that its video game related. I mean i understand that the phone COULD play games but thats not even mentioned. on the other hand though im probably gonna pick one of these bad boys up.

not really all technology stuff is posted here too...see the sections above it has mobile n gaming seperate so theres no harm with articles like these :) on topic i dont really find it that good to replace it with my iphone.

Gamers are people who usually have an interest in other things other than videogames, but not completely unrelated (i.e technology)

Well it has a 1400 battery, and Android 2.1 has done great work to conserve battery usage. And if it really comes down to it, either don't use a moving background or just put the screen to sleep.
