Joystiq: The war between pirate and ninja is as fabled as the internet itself. Joystiq is not immune to its allure (especially when it's so damned cute). Even our gaggle of bashful bloggers has thrown down in fisticuffs over the merits of swashbuckling versus ninjutsu. Imagine our surprise then, when we uncovered the Xbox Live Indie Game Pixel Whirled from Holmade Games, which stars both a ninja and a pirate working together. Blasphemous? Definitely. Fun? Could be.

I'm also sure that you've heard the big news that there was a major price drop with the game as well. At 80 Microsoft Points this game is a steal! Well, I had a chance to to talk with Adam about the game Pixel Whirled along with cheat codes. He also talks about one of his favorite gaming moments in Super Mario World and even the mention of a possible 8-bit series."
SFX-360 writes: "Considering the fact that I've been playing video games since my childhood years on the Atari 2600, old-school gaming is in my DNA. I just can't get over the nostalgia factor when playing games that are more than 20 years old. Some of those games are still great today while some others have me scratching my head and saying "What was I thinking." No matter what your opinion is on the subject, retro games are here to stay so if you don't like it...too bad."
