IGN Awards the Best of 2009

IGN: "The year has come to an end, which can only mean one thing: Awards season! That's right; it's time to look back at the best games, comics, TV shows, movie and gear of 2009. We locked ourselves in a room, argued until we were hoarse and came away with a list of this year's exceptional offerings."

So for the overall best games category, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, and Fallout 3 (Game of the Year Edition) are nominated in their respective categories, but not LittleBigPlanet (Game of the Year Edition)? Sounds a bit strange, if you ask me.

As for the awards themselves, i'd say they were well-deserved. I think Dissidia: Final Fantasy should've took the action game award over Patapon 2, but what does that really matter. They're both easily among my top favourites for PSP.

The days of 360 exclusive's graphics matching PS3's have been gone for a while but now 360 exclusive's graphics can't even match multiplatform game's graphics!

Pretty much all of PS3 awards wen to exclusives but the same can't be said for 360's.

10/14 (71%) of the PS3's awards were exclusives.

5/18 (27%) of the Xbox 360's awards were exclusives.

What does that say about the two? Oh, I forgot "SalZ = qUAliTy!!!"

PS3 exclusives cleaned up, glad to see inFamous grab that best story award, very unique game that was overlooked in terms of GOTY awards. Uncharted 2 is an amazing experience which should be played by any gamer. I was surprised to see UC2 beat MW2 for best multiplayer. 360 has all multiplats for their big winners and I'm very surprised L4D2 didn't win best shooter or best multiplayer, it's arguably the best online coop game in existence.

4 multliplatforms and 1 exclusive that bombed.

The green ranger DLC didnt even made the list...

And a multiplatform bagged the award.

Just ROFL.

I Think It's About Time We Realize Fallout 4 Wasn't That Bad

Ahmed from eXputer: "2015's Fallout 4 received harsh criticism upon launching, but I think it was unwarranted and the game deserves more praise than it got."

It was totally that bad. I couldn't finish the campaign it was so bland and boring as I recall. Got so sick of it. 1000 stimpaks on hard. It is very rare that I play half a game and then just quit. I usually always finish it. But i was so bored with this game I just stopped and never went back and never regretted it. Just thinking about that game makes me shudder

That's exactly what happened to me too lmao
Fallout 4 is not a fallout game period it's a bethesda game

The comparison with Skyrim is mind-boggling. Yes, Skyrim has streamlined many of the systems that Morrowind introduced. However, it did not tamper with the core of the Elder Scrolls franchise; it did not diminish the freedom and sense of exploration that made Bethesda RPGs famous. Fallout 4, on the other hand, did exactly that to the Fallout series. It eliminated what made Fallout such a beloved series to play. There are no consequences for your choices, no reason to explore, and barely any interesting set pieces in the game.

It's not terrible, but it's a painfully mediocre game in a franchise that typically doesn't produce such mediocrity. So that is why people see it as bad, the bar is just much higher.
