ANYWAY, this is the way I see it. If a multiplat game is better on 360, PS3 owners still get to play the same game, regardless of whether or not the resolution is lower or the framerate isn't as smooth or whatever. But 360 owners can't play PS3 exclusives at all. It's that simple.

some ps3 guys hate on it because its multiplat and some 360 guys lord it because its NOT a ps3 exclusive so it goes both ways..Truth is ps3 fans have the ability to play all of these games and many do. I mean how many 360 fans have you heard stating they feel god of war better than bayonetta.....worst thing is its not even out yet so who's to say. Ive played both demos and enjoyed them both and will probably get both but what i can say is the ps3 exclusives have delivered like 90% of the time and especially in the games mentioned here.

- No one compared Crackdown to Prototype

- No one compared Forza to Need for Speed Shift (or anything except for the old GT games)

- No article as of yet compared Gears to Quantum even before it was announced multiplatform; and now that it is, I highly doubt that it will be compared even now.

- No article even compared The PS3 Tales of Vesperia with the 360 Tales of Vesperia, although there's already been dozens of Tekken 6, Virtua Fighter, Bayonetta, etc. comparisons when it doesn't seem to favor the PS3.

And that, my friends is a statement which explains why we will never truly be reconciled, and the mainstream media has every right to call video games "toys for children." We as a whole still act like immature buffoons.

Let us analyze this statement that I have highlighted.

The writer of this article - I'm being very generous by calling it an "article" - is basically singling out (and this is not an uncommon occurrence on amateur sites like this one with amateur writers like this one) a group of people that he/she doesn't particularly like.

This group that is being singled out is not just fanboys IN GENERAL, but fanboys of a particular order of preference: the Xbox 360 fanboys. Now, not to have any respect for these particular fanboys, but I am indeed curious as to why the author makes it a point to say:

The worst kind of fanboy is the ignnorant bottom-feeder that is so damn unobservant he doesn't even realize his own hypocrisy when he talks about how fanboys are annoying and then writes an article about how the fanboys from the console he hates are the "most delusional fanboys." That guy, this author, is the most annoying kind of fanboy. He feels justification in being biased because he agrees with his opinion that the console he loves is the best.

Here's something he wrote at the end which actually made me laugh.

Capcom has been making one stupid decision after another these last few years.

First they close Clover Studios.
Then they replace Dante with some d!ck who looks just like him in DMC4.
Then they completely ruin Resident Evil 5.
Now they're charging $40 for what should be SFIV DLC.

But going back to Bayonetta/GOW3, PS3 owners that like Hack n' Slash games should get both. 360 owners that like Hack n' Slash games should get Bayonetta. Personally I don't like those kind of games (exception: DMC1) so I probably won't get Bayonetta. I might try GOW3 though.

All the games in question are unique experiences in their own right and it's up to you to decide which one you need in your collection. I for one enjoyed Infamous more than I did Prototype. I enjoyed both Killzone 2 and MW2 equally. And if the demos were any indication of the quality of their final products, I will enjoy both GOW III and Beyonetta. However, I will probably be more immersed into the story of GOW III because I've always been a big GOW fan, and I love the universe that Sony Santa Monica has created.

Infamous > prototype in GENERAL consensus

MW2 vs. KZ2 varies in taste so its an unfair comparison, however KZ2 graphically > MW2 whereas MW2 > KZ2 in sales (like sales matter to the gamer right? =P)

and then bayonetta vs. GOWIII is same reason Dante's Inferno vs. GOWIII =

GOW is basically one of the biggest (if not the biggest - arguable) slash em up out there.

GOWIII is going to be HUGE (AND might be the best selling slash em up ever)

Your post expresses succinctly exactly what the problem is and why PS3 owners get so frustrated and defensive.... It is all a product of the internet media fostering a console war to garner hits on websites (not to mention a console manufacturer (Microsoft) using what many perceive to be underhanded tactics in its marketing).

As far as the media fostering this nonsense, one has to look no further than Michael Pachter. Although I often agree with his business perspective, his predictions and assessments about the battle between Sony and MS are more often than not slanted toward MS. EXAMPLE: On the last installment of the the Bonus Round on Gametrailers, Pachter said that Modern Warfare 2, while not a true exclusive to the Xbox, is in fact a defacto exclusive b/c of the way it was marketed and the market share it has on the 360. He completely discounts the millions of sales that it gets on the PS3.

This is just one example of why PS3 owners get upset and defensive at the media coverage of their chosen system.

Quantum Theory-I will get this out of the way quick: this game had no choice but to go multiplat. Check it; Sony has tons of great exclusives on it's system...while MS's Xbox 360 does not. (No big deal for 360, just using this to get to my point) Quantum Theory dev's saw what happened to prototype, as it went up against inFAMOUS. Of course PS3 sales for both games would be split....two good games were out together, on the same system! People always hate on PS3/360 sale numbers, without taking this kind of stuff in mind. Quantum Theory will be all alone on the 360 (for the little while), thus its deve's will make more money.

Now, about the PS3 exclusives vs. multiplats. Sony has a difficult systems to decipher. Word on the street is that the 360 is a easy unit to navigate, so developers (Usually, the lazy, cheap, and not very good one's) prefer to work less and charge more. (Examples: ODST, Gears 2, GTA DLC, and left 4 Dead) Now, these are all great 360 games, BUT...all that the dev's are doing is taking previous engines and porting in a few new chapters, or MP map pack stuff...not as much work as Metal Gear Solid Games.) PS3 has shown what it can do with Killzone 2, Uncharted, and so on. If dev's worked separately, without porting, then PS3 games would ALWAYS LOOK BETTER. (Because the tech, is new..I'm not saying the 360 is bad.)

Playstation 3 takes care of it's gamers like family.
My love for playstation is 15 years strong & it's genuine.
I feel blessed & I'm very happy with my purchase. I have my own taste & I don't need the advice or opinions of guys I am older than. I enjoy videogames & with the ps3 I get more choices in entertainment. If that's a negative to you or your website then you are taking this console war too seriously.

Xbox360 doesn't have the mature games I crave. The skill level of it's exclusives are
for children. In it's advertising, the selling points are insulting to my intelligence. As if I'm supposed to be excited about facebook, netflix or xboxlive. Techwise the system doesn't impress me. I'm more impressed with the psp & it's features & that handheld has been on the market for yearssssssss.

It's no big deal for me to go out & buy a xbox360 right now but why ?
Simplistic old formula games, avatars, bill payments to play multiplats online, buying dlc to finish a game you bought for $60 dollars, weeks without the system for repairs, no bluray, no Internet browser, no handheld, no wifi, constantly adding on accesories & a retarded d-pad.
The media knows the frustration of owning this system. They hate it as well but when it comes to advertising this junk nobody pays better than Microsoft. It's fun to bleed the company that bleeds it's customers with the help of the media.

and i mean joe schmo who doesn't religiously listen to all the content they read on blogs doesn't care about "superior multiplatform games" because all they see is they can get the game on either console of choice. frame-rates, better aa, none of it matters... i mean, look at resident evil 5. i admit the xbox version looked better but it sold more on the ps3.

i don't see how you compare killzone 2 to MW2 or say that madden is better on the 360 when is clearly just as good. You just can't say that.
