TheSixthAxis takes a look at the sales performance of the PSPgo in its home country during its first full month on release.
It turns out that many moons ago, Microsoft once had its eye on the Sony published LittleBigPlanet series.
Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.

They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.
They're scum.
"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."
Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.
Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.
But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?
Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.
Acquire, famous for games like Tenchu and Octopath Traveler, becomes KADOKAWA subsidiary. Can this mean a revival for beloved series?
I would kill to have a Way of the Samurai game with a huge budget and modern tech... The first game was one of my greatest joys on PS2 back in the day. And I really hope From Software will do something with Tenchu... I hate that they're just sitting on the IP like it doesn't even exist.
Tenchu would be superb in this day and age. Ninja and samurai games are hot right now and more is better.
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.
I love my Go now :) But i'm still waiting for the ultimate PSP2!
I like it too!
the PSP Go was a fail! Id much rather keep my PSP Slim
i would like the Built-in noise cancellation feature that is present in the walkman series to be addded. That would really tempt me.
The price of the go has to do with the fact that unlike every other piece of hardware, retailers do not make much income after the sale of the system - so the price will always be high.
I dont mean to offend anyone but i would still buy a go over the WII ANY DAY. In my mind, that along with certain other harddrives and wireless adapters are the true rip-offs of this generation.
I really like my psp go but now that i've had it for a few weeks i've come to the realization that i would have been much better off in just buying a regular psp.
I should've done more research before i bought a go because i didn't realize how limited go only owners are as far as games we're able to play. There's tons of games i'd be willing to spend money on but i can't cause they aren't on the psn store.
Sony really needs to get working and release the back catalog. I've said this before though, I know they won't release a magnitude of games at once because games would get overlooked and not sell. So all i can expect is new releases and the occasional old release every thursday.
Mainly all i want is rpg's, the star ocean remakes and crisis core. If the psn doesn't get the remake of Lunar that is coming out, i'm gonna sell my psp go and get a psp.
