Great when is it coming to consoles?

This patch fixes a problem I have in Redcliffe. Go figure... I have to encounter a game breaking bug b4 the patch is released.

HMMM... its live on PS3 already? They fix a broken quest and it is still not fixed.

EvilCackle5272d ago

I don't know if this update is necessarily live on the PS3. I think BioWare's preface to the patch notes states that many of the fixes are already included in the console versions.

Pennywise5272d ago

The battle of Redcliffe is messing me up. I am not going to replay 2-3 hours of lost time because Bioware doesn't know how to code properly. Their forums are full of problem posts with the same quest.

At least the patch has notes that it fixes the quest, but I think I am screwed either way.

EvilCackle5272d ago

I remember having issues with the Battle of Redcliffe on the 360. I got through it but yeah, definitely had to search down a few stray mobs that had lost their way. The design for that segment really fell flat.

Pennywise5272d ago

Thats what I have read. I need to spend more time searching(which I did)... but if I don't find the mobs my last hard save was b4 I got morrigan in my party. I am still collecting blood... so the troops are still alive.

EvilCackle5272d ago

I think that ultimately I had to go all the way back up the mountain, to the place where the mobs first attack to find more enemies and keep the event moving along. As I said, it took me a while. It's a shame because it's supposed to be this really epic battle but it turns into a hunt for glitching enemies.

legendkilla5272d ago

i had no problem.. That's a strange because i have beat it once and am past the battle of redcliff on my second play through

Great, when are we getting the recent DLC or are PC owners going to be left out of it for good?

eek.

StarScream4Ever5272d ago

I thought this update would be my savior but its not. The Warden Keep downloadable quest is still MIA on my map. :( Even by reinstalling it its still not there. The quest guy is but the map marker isn't. By Andraste's wrath man!

legendkilla5272d ago (Edited 5272d ago )

its on the left side of the map sorta near the cave with the dwarf's. talk to a merchant and he will give you the control rod. Then you have to go south, i forget the name of the town, it should be high lighted in gold. Hope that helps

StarScream4Ever5271d ago

No that the Stone Prisoner quest. It works perfectly, its the Warden Keep that's the problem.

sandwiches5271d ago

@3.2

The Warden's Keep won't appear on your map until you've talked to the guy in your camp. He gives you a quest to help him clear his family's name.

How'd fallout not make the list. Atleast over cyberpunk, tales , and halo. Fallout been around since what 96 98 and has 5 6 games into it. It's full of lore when you play it. I'd even add star ocean to a point.

robtion499d ago

Agree Fallout should be on there.

MadLad500d ago

And somehow Planescape Torment doesn't even make the list.

Crows90500d ago

Hollow knight surpasses these.

shinoff2183499d ago

In lore? I must be missing something

Crows90499d ago (Edited 499d ago )

Yes in lore. Easily missed... absolutely. Never played a game that had me loving the world and lore behind it as much as that one. Most of course wouldn't be able to experience it since it is a more difficult game.

DarXyde499d ago

I can't speak for all titles on this list, but by the time you get to Dark Souls III, the lore is a bloody tapestry of intricacy

Crows90499d ago

Played them all. Im not saying the games on the list dont have good lore...I just think hollow knight had more lore that is hidden but present and more easily explored and accessed. The souls games have tremendous lore but theyre mostly hidden and stay that way unless you look for it and research it. The lore is not very accessible.

DarXyde499d ago

Crows90,

I think that's a somewhat fair assessment. For me, the Souls games are less upfront about the lore, but it does invite your fascination through NPCs, items, locations, bosses, etc. There's this kind of natural progression where the picture becomes just clear enough by doing the essential tasks, but it really makes you want to explore every inch of the world.

TheColbertinator499d ago

Suikoden and Legend of Heroes also have massive lore setups.

agent13499d ago

narration is more important than lore i'd rather watch the story and characters in a more cinematic way instead of searching for notes and stuff that's why i love sony exclusive games like uncharted and gow and hate from software games

shinoff2183499d ago

The article was top ten lore in video games. I think they did a bad job picking games out. I know what you mean though. I just like a variety of games and genres.
