My First Playstation Experience ( Paying Homage To 15 Years)

IronstarMovement: "On December 3, 1994, a thrilled consumer walked into an a shop in Tokyo and purchased the first Playstation EVER. Since then, Playstation has become one of the biggest brands this industry has ever seen, right on top of the pack with Nintendo. I remember my first Playstation experience, and it was quite interesting. You see, the PSX came out a little under a year later here in the US and the internet back then wasn't what it is today. I remember reading about the system constantly in Gamepro, thinking it would flop like a lot of Sega's 32 bit offsprings."

I agree absolutely with Ridge Racer, but would prefer what Namco did with Ridge Racers on the PSP. Basically pull Ridge Racer 1-5 together, make it all about drifting and create new tracks with the same oldskool Arcade Feel. Wipeout however? Redout and Ballistic NG replaced it for me. I miss Rock N Roll Racing in this list

RR 6 & 7 were both good on the 7th gen but it is surprising there wasnt an 8th gen RR8. Ace Combat got a release on 8th gen but not RR of all things (unless you count the stripped down vita version).

I'd love to see the return of PGR and Tokyo Extreme Racer.

Yeah..PGR was awesome...RIP Bizarre Creations

I would love to see Rockstar put another Midnight Club out. I remember that game fondly, the customization was top notch at the time. It had a nice arcady feel to the driving, but looking at the cars was the main point.

Wreckfest is solid and a good alternative to Destruction Derby.

It's a good game, but nothing like Destruction Derby.

That Time Ridge Racer Got Its Own Super Weird Controller

There have been some weird controllers made for video games over the years. Namco’s NeGcon was one of the strangest, but it was awesome.

Zjet2929d ago

Still own two of these bad boys, it worked really well with Wipeout and Ace Combat 2 as well

I think I have seen one in my local retro game store. Just sitting there in a transparent plastic box with other obscure controllers.

Too bad I probably dont have any compatible games, it looks funny.
