Ubisoft's tactical shooter is ready for deployment on the PS3 and we run it through a couple scenarios.

June 5, 2007 - It's been a long time coming, but Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas is finally locked and loaded for release on the PlayStation 3. We saw the PS3 version for the first time a few weeks back at Sony's Gamer's Day and now have a final copy in our hands. Yes indeed, Ubisoft's tactical shooter is finally ready to go and we've been able to play through the opening segments of the game to see how it stands up.

Well, I own a 360 and i am a fan of it. Ill be honest and say gears of war is an above average game is very over-rated. Same with the ghost recon advance warfighter series. What i am saying is this game is the best shooter on the 360, and I love it. I play it all the time, it takes skill and teamwork, and is simply a great game. Especially the multiplayer side of things for sure. There is a ton of customization and what not.

All ps3 owners should pick this game up, it will be your best online game.

He said there was co-op split screen. That was not in the 360 version. It did allow for 4 player online co-op.

I wonder what online additions are that guy wasn't able to tell us.

I wanted to get this game but it kept getting delayed. I've heard a lot of good previews and awesome gameplay trailers for this game. There's one thing that's really bothering me though. For those who played it in xbox before, i just want to know how long this game is in hours of gameplay-wise? No spoilers please because i want to experience this game myself. I mean, it just las vegas so i kept thinking its a pretty small game.

It's actually pretty good in length. You don't start out in Vegas (hope that's not a real big spoiler, I don't think it is).

I dont know about the hours but the gameplay is pretty good. I mean in my opinion compare to gears this game have a better single player campaign is not long and is not that short like gears...is just satisfyin.The best thing about this game on the 360 is the online features!So for all the ps3 owners you should pick this one up cuz is that damn good.

Thanks for the info. Can you give me an estimate for the hours of gameplay? No disrespect with Gears but i kept hearing that it was only around 6-8 hours long. I haven't played it so i don't know if its true or not. All i'm saying is i'm really looking forward with this game and i'm kinda worried it will be the same length. thanks again

It's definitely longer than Gears (I beat that game very quickly) but I'm not sure I can give a good estimate on this games length. I can say that it's much longer than Gears and provides more challenging situations (for longer gameplay). Sorry, but what I can say is it's definitely longer than eight hours. Perhaps someone else will jump into this conversation and help out.

Online this game is seriously like crack I've had it for the 360 ever since it came out and highly recommend it.

But wut worries me is the blurry 1080i. How do u change the ps3 to 720?

you just go to your display setting then choose hdmi then choose custom then there should be a list of what your tv can support there checked off just uncheck 1080i and your good to go

the ps3-version seems, once again, to be inferior to the xbox360 one. And they even had more than an extra six months to develop. This just adds to the list of multi-platform games that run better on 360, and still fanboys say 360 sux and their beloved ps3 is immensly powerfull, meanwhile the facts are speaking for themselves. Not to bash the ps3 but some of it's fans need to grow some sense of realism because, at this moment, ps3 ain't got sh*t on xbox360.

dont bash anything because you are a fanboy. its nice to see both groups commenting on how good the game is and the 360 owners telling the ps3 owners to pick it so just stop. besides when you port a game the port is usally the crappy one to witch every system gets the port unless they tweak the code for that particular system. the game looks great regardless. you probably dont have a ps3 so dont be a hater. oh and i have both so i can comment on either

Sony is so late. Hey im a captain right now in multiplayer. single player story is great. Its messed up gabriel betrays you in the end and the story leaves off to be continued... I cant wait to play the next one and get back at that traitor who betrayed our rainbow six team. Lol sorry for the spoiler Losers. Keep hope alive sony. lol.
