Star Wars Galaxies and City of Heroes were the last games from their genre to implement user generated content successfully. Understandably gamers were incredibly excited to create their own adventures, which anyone can play, and imprint their own creative footprint onto a world which they already love and care for.
Many developers are very excited about the potential of this kind of content, especially when SOE reported that over 3 million levels had been created only a month after the system had been implemented and a similar scale of success was also reported by NCSoft.

Turbine today announced the launch of beta client for The Lord of the Rings Online for Mac. Mac users in Europe can play the award-winning free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) on Mac starting from today, including the recently released Riders of Rohan expansion.
