Mercenaries Inc. Was Pandemic's Next Game, Cancelled This Month

Eh. Mercs 2 looks promising as well, but that had tons of flaws and really didn't speak towards this generation's level of gaming on the 360 or PS3. Was thoroughly frustrated and disappointed with the game.

I loved the first mercs game it was awesome! They need go back to that roots, making it realistic as in explosions but of course non realistic player that has an unlimited supply at his disposal

Yeah, damn right they screwed them over. First Pandemic Brisbane that made the first two DAH! because of a canned Batman game and then the main studio that made Mercenaries and Battlefronts. Talented sandbox focused developer destroyed, a**holes.

Furious with this, although, seriously, LotR Conquest sucked to no end. Maybe that was part of EA's reasoning for this, or maybe it was the fact they were TRADED for a casual game company 'Playfish'?....

but in this case, it seems that pandemic is the more guilty one. the games they develop after ea bought them didn't do too good. i don't think ea rushed them, i remember mercs 2 was delayed for more polishing time. considering how much ea paid for pandemic, i wouldn't blame them if they were not happy with pandemic's performance. if ea was so evil, bioware and visceral wouldn't even exist by now.

bottom line, just because ea is usually the big, bad guy, doesn't mean they're always the guilty one. review the situation critically.

Once a promising studio and now nothing? I don't get it. Mercs was gold but the second game left a bad taste in my mouth. It was awful, I don't know how many games Pandemic made but I get the feeling they've been snuffed before they ever really took off. It's a shame, hopefully they can find a home somewhere else and carry on making games.

All I know is that somebody released a trophy patch that prevented anyone from getting the million and billion dollar trophies that was on the leaderboards prior to the patch. Pandemic never acknowledge it on the forums so I say good riddance.
