GameStooge gives its initial impressions of Assassin's Creed II for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Excerpt: "Assassin's Creed was an interesting game, though some would consider it an interesting failure. While the game featured an interesting story, great city exploration, and fast, visceral combat, it was hampered by curious gameplay mechanics and repetitive tasks. It was good enough for people to pine for a "better" version, and the sequel, Assassin's Creed II, may be it. This is not a full review – rather, this is an impression based on a few hours of gameplay. Already, the game seems like an improvement over the first."
GF365: "Oftentimes, video games have characters who are antagonistic and really not very pleasant. Here are some of the friendliest characters in games where you might not otherwise expect to find them."
This weekend from August 10-14, players can play for free Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Black Flag and Valhalla on Xbox, PlayStation and PC (availability dependent on platform).
GF365: "Most games are not perfect and that may be because of a character or an enemy. Here are 10 mediocre bosses in great games."
The Pursuer from Dark Spuls 2 was great, I think the author just sucks at games.
