I know DX11 is still new and coming but it's already showing improvements. Especially in the geometry.

I've noticed screenshots with what look like different markings on the Predator masks. I wonder if there will be some sort of customisation option in the game.
Would be cool for Predator and Marine but there's really nothing you can do with the Alien.

I doubt it. Probably because of the class system so you can tell which one is the most danger to you. Everybody always kills the sniper first and smartguns are banned. Heavy Preds are cake from medium to long range unless they use the netgun to close the distance. Aliens are just dangerous.

If you buy a DX11 videocard, will you need a kickass videocard to enable Hardware Tesselation? Or can one buy a midrange card and benefit from DX11 without a major performance hit when enabling DX11 tesselation (would it be better to have a "old" high end DX10 card?)?

Unfortunately, the benchmarks I saw from HardOCP looks like Tessellation will reduce FPS due to the power needed to render all those smaller triangles dynamically.

And I'm not sure if a DX10 card is capable of tessellation or whether developers will even allow it. Not because the hardware isn't capable, but because companies want to push their newer cards on the market.

Any recent ATI card will support tessellation to some extent, although I'm sure games will only use it when running Dx11. So you'll need a Dx11 card.

very impressive, the depth of the spikes on the alien look awesome, usually the textures look more flat, for obvious reasons.

The other trailer for this must be of the console versions, or from early development, it looks like the first x-box graphics in that vid...good to see it turned out great in the end. Another good reason to get a DX11 card
