In fiscal year 2007 financial results released today, publisher Activision revealed that Splash Damage's upcoming multiplayer shooter Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is expected to release in the company's second quarter of fiscal year 2008. Given Activision's fiscal schedule, this suggests that the game will be released some time between the months of July and September of this calendar year. Though the game has always been publicly assigned a "when it's done" release projection, today's announcement suggests that Quake Wars was peviously expected to ship by June of this year. "As you know, id Software makes the final decision on the release date," said Activision CFO Thomas Tippl in an analyst conference call following today's release.
