I dont know anymore!!!
My head hurts!!

I saw some screenshots 2 weeks ago that made me believe that the X360 version was sharper and more detailed. The PS3 version screens came right next to it. Overall the PC version kicked both of them into space.

Now I see these screens and the PS3 and PC versions are almost identical and the X360 version looks really washed up. I think this just goes to show that these comparisons are somewhat inclined to the users way of capturing the screens or the colour settings that are aplied to each one of the versions.

PS3 framerate is brutal

PC obv looks the best

360 is in the middle, good framerate, mediocre gfx

ThanatosDMC5295d ago

PC > PS3

I played it on steam and saw it on the PS3.

the PS3 version looks almost the same as the PC version,
Bioware has done a DAMN GOOD JOB here.
I hope there are FUTURE projects for the PS3

Need to get your eyes checked bud.

It's true, but the framerate is really bad. I don't think it ever locks in at 30 Hz. And there are some really bad glitches in the game.

I remember one scene in The Fade where I was going through the dialog tree with the boss I was supposed to face when suddenly the entire scene looped and I had to go through the dialog tree again, but this time staring at a massive view of that boss' crotch.

Lovely.

I remain unconvinced that Bioware or Edge of Reality or whoever has a firm grasp on the PS3 hardware.

Glad to know BioWare can handle the PS3!!! I hope future RPGs take advantage of the PS3 and aren't dumbed down by the DVD capacity of the 360. With EA owning BioWare, I can see all future titles being multi-plats.

the 360 version looks washed out, the ps3 version looks abit sharper but overall the pc version takes the cake lighting and textures so if you're gonna get one version get it on the pc

Graphics in this game aren't amazing in the first place, but they are good (PC version for me). Honestly, I couldn't see playing this game on the ps3 or 360 due to no keyboard/mouse support. Would be so slow paced, I would imagine, with a controller considering how many times you would have to pause the game for some of the more intense fights.

Anyway, in my opinion DA (pc anyway) is the best WRPG this generation. Amazing game, even better than ME (2nd favorite), Fallout 3, Oblivion, etc.

OMG OMG OMFG!!!!!!

WHAT HAPPENED XBOTS??????

WTF HAPPENED WITH YOUR SO CALLED SUPERIOR SYSTEM????

the game looks crearly inferior in that white piece of sh!t

i cannot wait to see how Mass Effect 1 and 2 are going to look in the PS3, far better than the beta ones for sure

Ps3 really takes the cake on this one.

How'd fallout not make the list. Atleast over cyberpunk, tales , and halo. Fallout been around since what 96 98 and has 5 6 games into it. It's full of lore when you play it. I'd even add star ocean to a point.

robtion498d ago

Agree Fallout should be on there.

MadLad499d ago

And somehow Planescape Torment doesn't even make the list.

Crows90499d ago

Hollow knight surpasses these.

shinoff2183499d ago

In lore? I must be missing something

Crows90499d ago (Edited 499d ago )

Yes in lore. Easily missed... absolutely. Never played a game that had me loving the world and lore behind it as much as that one. Most of course wouldn't be able to experience it since it is a more difficult game.

DarXyde498d ago

I can't speak for all titles on this list, but by the time you get to Dark Souls III, the lore is a bloody tapestry of intricacy

Crows90498d ago

Played them all. Im not saying the games on the list dont have good lore...I just think hollow knight had more lore that is hidden but present and more easily explored and accessed. The souls games have tremendous lore but theyre mostly hidden and stay that way unless you look for it and research it. The lore is not very accessible.

DarXyde498d ago

Crows90,

I think that's a somewhat fair assessment. For me, the Souls games are less upfront about the lore, but it does invite your fascination through NPCs, items, locations, bosses, etc. There's this kind of natural progression where the picture becomes just clear enough by doing the essential tasks, but it really makes you want to explore every inch of the world.

TheColbertinator498d ago

Suikoden and Legend of Heroes also have massive lore setups.

agent13498d ago

narration is more important than lore i'd rather watch the story and characters in a more cinematic way instead of searching for notes and stuff that's why i love sony exclusive games like uncharted and gow and hate from software games

shinoff2183498d ago

The article was top ten lore in video games. I think they did a bad job picking games out. I know what you mean though. I just like a variety of games and genres.
