if this game ends up having the same or better reviews than Uncharted 2, I am going to be pissed, because then, gaming is going downhill

And I am not saying I don't like MW2, but I think that games should be praised on what they are, and not on what the hype is or how much they sell

Besides the graphics and animations what makes UC2 so great? Not saying I don't like the game. Just curious to know why you personally think it's so great.

Is the overall package, is the graphics, animation, technology, story-telling, multiplayer, humor, etc. Uncharted 2 is an overall excellent game.

I am not saying that MW2 is a bad game, on the contrary, is a good game, but while Uncharted 2 is raising the bar in everything I stated above, MW2 is just following them, and the bar doesn't get as high as Uncharted 2's.

The reason why the Snes existed, and then the N64, then PlayStation, then Playstation 2, etc is because gamers want to have better experiences than before. Games are supposed to evolve and get better each time, not get stuck at the same thing every time. That's where games like Uncharted 2 comes from, to innovate, and if it's not story innovation, or gameplay innovation, at least the game innovates in technological advancements (graphics, animation, lighting, physics, etc)

Ive just got my copy today and I am half way through. the game so far is good but to much the same as the first one. to me its just a generic shooter with some good aspects in it.

I agree on 8.5/10 for SP but MP should be 9.2 at least. It has logevity which games like KZ2, Boderlands, even GOW1 and 2 doesnt have.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10 to be generous, but maybe because I'm not a fan of generic shooters. To each his own.
