@1st comment- Those 16 disagrees are completely unwarranted. Doesn't matter in the end though, the majority of the PS360 owners have spoken and MW2 is GOTY. Who cares if AIAS gives Uncharted 2 the award, the gamers know what the true GOTY is and their support will be shown in MW2 sales.

Edit: Exactly man, logic and reason doesn't work on N4G. Like I've heard PS3 fanboys say that AIAS's opinion is worth more than the opinions of the MAJORITY of the PS360 community. The GAMERS choose the game of the year and Modern Warfare 2 IS that game. PS3 fanboys had this year won already since the beginning. They get to play BOTH MW2 and Uncharted 2, the 2 biggest games of the year and they STILL complain. It makes no sense!

Yeah, probably. If you look on metacritic right now, the PS3 version (having the minimum 4 reviews), is posted with a score of 100, the first I can remember seeing. Whether or not it deserves a 10/10, I don't know, since I haven't played it.

specially the latter stages. The graphics show more on them too. Its an overall amazing game worth the COD franchise fanbase. I dont know if this game is going to get the GOTY award but for me its one of the best games this year, topped only by UC2 and Killzone 2. I dont know why 360 fans cryticize PS3 fans for dont liking this game. You dont know 360 boys that the expectation for PS3 guys are higher. Anyway I LOL when 360 fans mention it as GOTY only because its going to sell like a porn DVD. Selling dont mean quality you boys...in this case there is quality on MW2. Also 360 fans act like if the game is exclusive to the 360 praising it like crazy...this only prove that this is the ONLY game this year worth playing in the 360. Even Forza cant manage to exite 360 guys.

Anyway the best Multiplatform FPS of the year for sure. PS3 fans dont miss this game cause its amazing. Just as good if not better than COD4.

EDIT: Ohh I finished my downloaded 360 version about a day ago. Im going to buy it tomorrow on PS3 for multiplayer purposes!!

After playing MW2 last night, the KZ2 score they gave is justified. However, I don't agree that MW2 is a 10. Uncharted 2 is the closest thing to a 10 I've ever played and I still wouldn't give it a 10. People need to go to the 5 star review. a 5/5 isn't the same as a 10.

In all seriousness, there's no doubt MW2 is an excellent game, the actual crew making the games over at IW are top notch... its just their leadership that needs retooling.

That said, GR decided to give the game a perfect a score, with little to no complaints. Signposting? Stupid teams ;_;? Lean? ... these issues seem pretty trivial compared to ACTUAL faults in the game that have been brought up before its release.

I'll chock this review up as another "OMG teh jesus shooter iz finly her! :D"

...a reference to the original Modern Warfare, which is still played by thousands of people every day, a couple of years after its release. MW2 is bound to become just as big an online phenomenon as its predecessor and will stay that way for a long time. People still play Halo 2, after all.

It does happen in the industry i.e. publishers threaten to stop supplying review copies if their game is not given a decent score or they let publications be the first to review their game if they give it a decent score.

Don't forget many Ps3 exclusive games got marked down or denied full marks because of short SP and no innovation or whatever inane reason.

But Gamesradar are a good outfit. Of course, 10/10 doesn't mean a perfect game just a great game.

Just like to see the reviews from Gamespy, Gamespot, GT, IGN, Edge Mag, Destructoid etc and watch them deduct decimal points off the score for stupid reasons because MW2 won't be perfect - just like Uncharted 2.

I've been waiting for this day to arrive. i was expecting this to happen in February when KZ2 arrived.

KZ2 had innovation, both online and Single Player, and those who played it know what im talking about. From the Clan system, to the ability to cover in the Single Player, it was very satisfying. yet people called it Generic.

COD: MW2 however is going to get a free pass, despite being the same multiplayer that people have played in the last 2 iterations. whats more Generic?

Good review but whats crazy to me is just how in the heck did PS3 launch 3 or 4 huge games this year and still end up getting outsold by 360 software regardless. This is definitely the year of great Sony titles but I just don't see how 360 is keeping up.
