And it is a great service all around. That said, the PS3 streamed The Big Lebowski in HD with considerably less trouble than my 360 and at comparable quality. Sadly, the 360 gave me the "adjusting playback quality" screen several times, even though both systems are sharing the same connection. One test at my house, of course, proves nothing, but it is worth sharing.
ON THE OTHER HAND, taking Uncharted 2 out of my PS3 every time I want to stream a movie is no fun. I look forward to the day when Netflix' contract with Microsoft is up and Sony can put Netflix in Xmedia bar. For now the 360 is just more convenient.
Personal Conclusion: For the time being I'm just gonna stream on whatever system happens to be turned on at the moment. ;) That is the beauty of having both consoles.
it said that the reason the streaming is disk based because of an agreement that ends late 2010. My question is, does it need to be DISK based, or can the software come from a card or usb drive? Plugging in a USB drive or SD card would be much more convenient.
