In my usual repertoire of research I discovered that this is actually a fairly popular show airing on Cartoon Network and that it was developed by the faithful Wii developer High Voltage Software. Funny thing is even if you don't know what the show is about Beasts of the 5th Sun is actually a fairly decent 2.5D adventure that manages to nail things such as play mechanics and controls and wrap them around an adventure that is sure to please fans and perhaps even some non-watchers as well. In the realm of licensed drivel this is yet another one that doesn't entirely disappoint.
Gamewelt: The Saturdays are a cartoon family with monstrous abilities. These bring the hero pack, but not from the Spielspaßtalsohle. Why The Secret Saturdays: Beasts of the 5th Sun is far from a convincing family video game, and the weighting of the royalty as more importance to quality, you read in the test.
Beast of the 5th Sun is unfortunately yet another mediocre licensed game. It has some good ideas and tries valiantly to present the cartoon universe in video gameform, but only fans of the series will be able to fully enjoy this title.
Level7: First of all, I'll admit that I have not heard of the Secret Saturdays, but it went pretty quickly dawned on me that this game must be linked to one license. Indeed, it is based on a TV series of the same name directed against the young. To the DS, this is, however, on a platform which, even without the warning in mind that there is a licensed game, deserves some criticism.
