IGN: Nostalgia Review

With the exception of the airship fights and the graded battles, Nostalgia does not innovate much beyond genre roots. It covers familiar territory, although IGN recognizes that to some gamers, the 8- and 16-bit RPG formula may be hallowed ground. But with such a fresh setting, it was ultimately disappointing to see Nostalgia rely on such creaky -- but functional -- ideas like random encounters and basic turn-based battles.

Man, whats with this reviewer? Sounds like they got the wrong guy to review a game like this.

"I’m sure a hardcore RPG gamer will love how Nostalgia adheres to the past (I can already see “that’s why they call it Nostalgia, dummy” comments on the horizon),"

no crap. Why would they not have a hardcore rpg gamer review a game thats suppose to be about a shout out to hardcore rpgs in the past then slam it on being to much like hardcore rpgs in the past? Talk about not taking things in context.

I was into the idea of a Gale and Colosseum remaster but with how Nintendo has been handling their remaster I don't want em anymore personally. Pokemon pinball would most likely end up being a 60 dollar port too

Yeah Pokemon Pinball would be great as a 20 dollar game. 40 max if they include a ton of content.

Oh man I can't wait to get my hands on these!

This is a great opportunity missed... I honestly think some box art or concept art would have worked so much better...
The Designers Republic stuff for wipeout alone is amazing. Some of the best work for an IP to date and still stand up so long after the first release. Instead they opted for some lazy screenshots.

Wasted opportunity
