From GamesRadar: "Explorers of Sky is this year's companion piece to the Explorers of Time/Darkness double bill we were treated to in 2008. Those titles weren't exactly the cream of the Poke-crop, but Sky promises new features, new chapters and a deeper look at this parallel universe populated by sentient Pokemon."
Craig Hasselback writes: "This week's cosplay babe of the week was a toughy. She's associated with one of the most popular video game franchises in the history of gaming, but more for the merchandising and cartoons than being a gym leader in red and blue. The moment we see Misty, we instantly say "gotta catch 'em all".
So of course this week's cosplay babe of the week is the cute and adorable Misty from the world of Pokemon - the unimaginably popular video game franchise from Nintendo that started on the Game Boy and has graced every piece of Nintendo hardware since, as well as spawned countless pieces of collectible merchandise, cartoons, movies and more. Pokemon shows the influence that a game can have on the public and the staying power as well. "
WHOA!!! Misty never had knockers like that. lol Sorry if I offended anyone, but that err "stand out". Like she's smuggling a couple Pokeballs in there. HA!
all of us in college are getting back in the pokemon craze with hgss and we talked about how we missed the old series.
and a course misty, Ann Chovy.
I hope the guys at GoFanboys are allowed to publish the photos. It doesn't look like that they have done all the photos by themselves.
Destructoid: "Remember when Pokémon games were limited to just 151 little critters to collect? God, those were the days. I can't comprehend trying to acquire every Pokémon they've come up with since that time.
The gang at TheSpeedGamers are made of tougher stuff than I am, apparently. They've decided that they're going to attempt to collect all 493 Pokémon. And they're going to do it in a 72-hour period, live on the internet, as a charity drive for an Oklahoma-based children's cancer charity, Ally's House.
No outside trading, just pure capturing skill involved. Of course, some of the Pokémanz were only available at live events, so special exceptions have been made for these creatures which will be pre-loaded on one of the cartridges they'll be using.
Best of luck to TheSpeedGamers! You'll be able to check out their live stream of the event and donate to the cause beginning tomorrow."
Rock on, TSG! Best of luck to everyone! I hope those who see this will decide to drop by and check us out. You won't regret it!
Happy Holidays, all!
Dam... loved the Blue and Red days of 151, even though 251 was nice too in Gold and Silver.
Wow they have 493 pokemons now...back in the day i could only remember 151 by heart(bcs they had a rap song at the end of the show).I'd like to see a rap song with 493 pokemon lolz..
Game Revolution writes: "It's been a tough time for Pokémon fans. When the series first hit the US over ten years ago like a Hydro Pump from a Blastoise to the face, all the cool kids were into the Pokémon phenomenon, and with good reason: Despite being a titanic fad, the games were still awesome. Not so these days. Now there are almost 500 monsters, most of which are nowhere near as memorable or endearing as the original 150, and most of the new games we get are half-assed spinoffs that only seem to exist to cash in on the franchise's name. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is one such spinoff."
