Cubos Gaming cancelling all MW2 pre-orders

According to a user on MyFrag, Cubos Gaming have sent out emails stating that all pre-orders for Modern Warfare 2 have been cancelled due to the shocking news that there will be no dedicated servers available for the PC.

The email stated,
''Given the recent and unfortunate news that Modern Warfare 2 will not have dedicated servers, we have had no decision but to cancel all pre-orders for the game. With the lack of a dedicated server for MW2, game server providers such as ourselves will be unable to provide services for this game to the community and we have therefore removed the game from our website.

Should Infinity Ward decide to provide dedicated server support at some point in the future, we will contact you regarding this service becoming available again.''

If you really wanted to "retaliate," you would not play the game at all and tells others not to as well.

i like shooters on the ps3 better because of the joysticks, they arnt as hard to push and it feels like i can get way more pinpoint without overshooting my target...

the first day my buddy came over to play the ps3 (long time ago,R1 co-op) he was like "ohh i like the way these sticks feel" i totally agreed with him, but i hope u can just believe me instead of thinking I'm talking fanboy drivel... i really am telling the truth here lol

I always laugh when people say the xbox controller is made for shooters. More like made for retards. Using the lower shoulder buttons/triggers as your aim and primary fire buttons means you have to shift your index fingers up and down between the triggers and the bumper buttons. We coordinated PS3 players who aren't retards can aim and shoot with the L1 and R1 buttons using our index fingers and toss nades and secondary fire with the L2 and R2 buttons using our middle fingers. I guess the only thing xbox players can do with their middle fingers when they're playing is put them in the air when their consoles RROD. Anyone who has played R:FOM or R2 knows what I mean. Hedgehog two guys in the face with L2, aim with L1, tag someone with the Bullseye with R2 and blast away until he's dead with R1. Dualshock FTW.

As for me i rather Xbox 360 controller as i don't have to force my hands back down to the joystick which i have to do with the ps3's controller. Xbox controller fits my hand much better than ps3 but for others ps3 may be more comfortable. You have the audacity to call people retards lol. you are an idiot, most peeps i know use the 360 with their mid fingers on the trigger and using the index for shoulder buttons...but you are right, the ps3 controller is better because of the follwiing....

1. sticks next to each other which can cause thumb bumping

2. stick convex allowing your thumbs to slip off easier in a heated battle

3. R2 and L2 buttons are really mushy and give great tactile feedback

4. L1 and R 1are not analogue and feel more like clicking a mouse button

5. both R and L 2 buttons also convex causing slippage as well

Yep, the PS3 controller is sooooo much better for FPS games.

I'm 6'4 300 lbs and I toss lumber and bags of 80lb concrete all day.. My hands are probably bigger then your face and rough as sand paper yet I seem to have none of the issues that you reference with the dualshock 3... It makes me lol whenever 360 loyalists such as yourself cite the thumb bumping issue.. If you use your fingertips like your supposed too instead of the middle of your thumb then they dont bump... I managed to climb my way into the top 10% on killzone 2 with the dualshock 3.. Not bad for a controller you claim isnt good for shooters... Wonder why that is?

Why does everyone say that a developer team is the best if they make a good game automatically?

IW made a simple game with a 4 hour campaign called COD5. A multiplayer so simple to the point where it's just sad to think about, and what is MW2 exactly? The same exact game with a different name for the protagonist. And a ridiculous price of 55GBP which is equivalent to 90$ without tax.

Wow with the huge dis on the pc community and the chastising of the ps3 sounds like the 360 version is prob the better of three? I am thinking they are setting the groundwork for justifying the inferior versions on pc and ps3, just a thought. Acti or IW have not openly said anything negative about the 360 as far as I know. The lack of dedicated servers is really going to kill the online experience. P2P servers on pc haven't worked out so well in the past(imo) Hell, the whole idea of P2P fails, if your host doesn't A: stay online through the whole game and B: have a fast net connection, everyone else is going to get shafted.

Damn glad I'm more interested in the single player campaign. Sure I'll play multi player.. if it's worth a damn.

Mods... the game doesn't need mods. That just opens the floodgates for hacks, great move there.

I think that IW decided to remove dedicated servers preventing pirated copies of MW2 connecting online and playing free. But there are other ways around this, but hey to reduce the amount of pirated copies save money right?

Idk why some gamers hate the PC so much and want PC gaming to 'die'. It doesn't affect them so stop hating. Sure there's a lot of pirating but the 360 also has the same problem to some extent. The lack of dedicated servers is a low blow cuz they have always been vital for the PC community.
