I agree, i can not wait to play this game. this will be the only game that will allow me to play fluently as if i were that character. I will not have to get frustrated when i die or anything... will be nice to play this game. :) can't wait

SolidAhmed5322d ago

actually i am thinking of playing this game in front of my wife

this game can attract non gamers

loser5321d ago

amazing game ey?? have you played it yet? how long was the campaign? and what else could you do apart from pressing some buttons at the correct time?

heavy rain, is one game i 100% will not be buying for my ps3! amazing graphics yes! everything else...lol i really dont thinks so.

my prediction, critical and commercial flop/disaster.

Harry_Manback5321d ago

You seem more like an xbox type of guy. Maybe you should just trade your ps3 in for one.

pansenbaer5321d ago

@1.3

You name sure does fit you...

Bathyj5321d ago

Loser, your name suits you.

You knock someone for liking the game though they havent played it, yet you havent played it but somehow know enough to write it off.

And has usual every hater still thinks this game is nothing but QTE but you dont know the difference between that and context sensitive controls, and not just context controls but having multiple choices you can make at once. No game has ever done that.

acedoh5321d ago

this game won't be for everyone. It is really a thinking persons game that is not based just on quick action but making choices. Just like life for every action there is a reaction. I think that is why this game is so appealing to me. It's kind of like the choose your own adventure books I loved as a child. Since I enjoyed Indigo Prophecy so much I am sure I will like this game. I am sure the reviews will range from 10.0 to 6.0 since this game will be loved or hated.

sikbeta5321d ago

"how long was the campaign?"

Hahaha.....

He believe that Heavy Rain = COD MW

Last gen (and before) everything wasn't completely related to campaigns, It was more about storyline

lol kid, you make me laugh so hard

cyberwaffles5321d ago

Heavy Rain and The Last Guardian are going to have an emotional tug-of-war thing going on. can't wait to play them both.

ShadowCK5321d ago

It looks very unique, but I think I'll get turned off by it's gameplay. It seems more like an interactive movie with consequences than a game.

Off topic:

has anyone noticed that Forza 3 is ranked number 6 in hottest ps3 games on the ps3 page of this site? Yea, i think someone needs to fix that.

MetalGearRising5322d ago

It makes me wonder when a Developer is making a game doesn't he realize that game is gonna Flop and sales wise it will never reach a Million sold.

artgamer5322d ago

MGR, I've drawn the conclusion that you do not sleep, ever...

...ever.

bujasem_895322d ago (Edited 5322d ago )

Dont u know that nothing can beat MGR ?? nothing, he is a creature that has No Life and nothing can beat that which has no life lol xD

YogiBear5321d ago

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1274d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1274d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1274d ago (Edited 1274d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.

Have you played Detroit? While it’s my personal favorite, I fully understand many preferring Heavy Rain more. I’m glad you enjoyed Heavy Rain too.

bouzebbal1431d ago

def. one of my top 3 best experiences on PS3

ClayRules20121431d ago

bouzebbal

That’s awesome to hear! What’re the other 2 best experiences?

akaFullMetal1431d ago

Great game, need to get started on Detroit soon.

ClayRules20121431d ago

Glad you enjoyed the game! Yes, Detroit is a masterpiece of a game, and their best work to date “in my opinion”

ClayRules20121431d ago

Wow, 10 years...and yet, still one of the best/most emotional/thrilling gaming experiences I’ve ever had.

So grateful to Sony for believing in Quantic Dream’s vision for this game, and giving them a chance. I’ll never forget David Cage saying “We want to challenge the player, but not with the controller, but mentally, with their decisions of “How far would you go to save someone you love” Well, they broke my emotional gamer heart lol.

My teenage son refuses to play this game, because I’ve told him in little detail the emotional impact it had on me all those years ago. Maybe one day he will.

Still have my origami crane they teach you how to make when you're installing for the first time.

C-H-E-F1431d ago

it's been 10 years? wow, that was so fast, I feel like this console gen went fast as well although it hasn't. I really look forward to the PS5 this holiday season though.
