IGN: Brutal Legend AU Review

This game had better sell. It had better do some serious bank for Double Fine, because goddamned if Tim Schafer and his team haven't poured so much creativity and originality into Brütal Legend. In simple terms – during an age of bland, recycled games, music and film, something like Brütal Legend is a rarity: a project borne of fan-devotion, coupled with talent to take a really complex idea and refine it into something very special.

Correction, there are 3 great games if you include the Fallout 3 GOTY, which I plan on purchasing. I played Fallout 3 on 360 but I'd like some PS3 trophies, plus I never did get a chance to play the expansions or be an evil character.

The demo for this game is actually going to hurt it. Kinda like the first pacific rift demo. Gameplay vids makes it look a lot more interesting.

i have unch2 & brutal prepaid! loved the brutal demo...glad to see my intuition justified! though in all honesty i don't let reviews sway me, unless it's really really bad or good.

Because the demo has just been a tutorial for basic gameplay stuff as your weapons. It says ZERO about the total game. Go watch the video interview. The gameplay in the demo just covered some hack & slash and the car driving, while the actual game is a sort of RTS mixed with RPG elements and some fighting. Its a big mix, that seems to work.

You aren't a gamer. You're a PS3 droid that feels the need to push down other great games because Uncharted 2 is about to release. So anything multiplatform needs to be dissed by you and the other PS3 tard SDF army.

Pathetic bunch of losers! I'll buy both by the way, Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend, both this week. Because I can, because I have the $$$$$. You only own a PS3 and probably can hardly pay for Uncharted 2. Thats the thing there, you are envy on stuff you can't buy.

Plus, IGN's opinion on a final game, yours is on a demo. Guess what real gamers will respect more...

I think that opening sums it up its a review of how great schafer is rather than the game, which is not in doubt but I will wait for user reviews to get an accurate picture of how good the game is.

if your a fan of Tims then this was no surprise only to people who thought this was some stupid ,people who saw graphics and played ten mins of a demo then slams it.Me i just thought I'd wait until reviews came in to show the proof of my trust.

Im half way in the game and the rts gameplay isnt fun its annoying and frustrating to give this game a 9.3 is a joke its not perfect by a long shot getting stuck bugs glitches. The game wouldve been better without the horrid rts gameplay and i think some people will agree with that.The game looks rushed the dialogue and art is good and music ofcourse but all the elements of the game the racing,rts,Hack and slash all feel rushed and incomplete.
