Nemesys Team Studio has announced the release of Fortix for the PC and PSP as a mini through the Playstation Network. The game is a remake of Qix, the popular 80's arcade title, featuring "new enemy's, catapults and power-ups, a beautiful fantasy setting and online scoreboards."
A demo for the title is available for download as well.
The early '80s was a revolutionary time for gaming yet not every classic from that era is as celebrated as it should be. Taito's Qix is an often imitated arcade gem so let's take a look at why it's such a legendary game.
Trendy Gamers: Ever play Qix? It’s an 80′s arcade game released by Taito. The object of the game is to fence off a majority of the field of play without being hit by the qix itself, a creature that is basically just a coloured line. If that sounds stupid to you then you obviously haven’t played Qix because it’s awesome and you’re stupid because anyone who has ever played Qix love it and would never think that it sounds stupid.
Today, the Hungarian development team “Nemesys Games” announces their critically acclaimed indie hit “Fortix 2” will be released next week on PC via digital distribution (Steam).
