I have to admit, the lack of interest in this game is disappointing.

Well, the original only came to the states on Virtual Console. The game hasn't exactly been hyped much, and there's a lot of rail shooters on Wii already.

That said, this will probably be the best one of its kind.

"Well, the original only came to the states on Virtual Console"

Due to popular demand. If I recall correctly, Saki was also one of the most-requested playable characters in Brawl, which is why he got to be an assist trophy.

"there's a lot of rail shooters on Wii already."

Yes, but most of those are more along the lines of light-gun based rail-shooters, where you can't see your character or influence their movement, House of the Dead-style. Sin & Punishment is more along the lines of a Panzer Dragoon/Star Fox rail-shooter, the latter franchise of which is up there with Kid Icarus in terms of people begging for a sequel.

There isn't a lot of attention for this game because a lot of the people blathering on about 'the Wii has no hardcore games' are more interested in blogging than they are in actually playing the kind of game they *claim* they want to see on the Wii.

I can't wait for this game loved the first and can't wait to play this one too.

I'm glad this game isn't being hyped, hype kills. Many Wii games right now are flying uder the radar including which could possibly be the biggest game of the year NSMB. But I digress, I can careless about hype I'm more interested in getting this game in my hands which incidentally won't be long.

Game Revolution: Sin & Punishment 2 Review

Game Revolution writes: "Few game genres summon the sounds, sights, and downright stink of the good old arcade days more than shoot-'em-ups. Back before the days of teh Haloz, these were the real “shooters”. But over the years, the genre’s been pushed further and further to the fringes of the gaming landscape, where shmup fans now have more in common with elderly shuffle-board players than with the youngsters pwning them in Call of Duty."

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor Review-TGH

TGH writes: "Sin & Punishment Star Successor (Successor Of The Skies in Europe) is a direct sequel to Sin And Punishment for the N64 and recently WiiWare. The original as highly praised and loved by gamers of all ages. So does the sequel live up to the template that the first one set, or is this simply an upgrade, not a Successor."
