IGN: NBA 2K10 Tenth Anniversary Edition Review

IGN: "One other significant issue that crops up is slowdown within 2K10, which can ruin your timing as you try to set up your offense and run your plays. If you're passing around the perimeter or taking jump shots, this is essentially fine, but once you head into the low post, the game can frequently drop its framerate so badly that the timing of your cuts to the basket can be affected and you can even lose track of the ball. This can be extremely detrimental when the framerate picks back up, allowing your opponent to have an easy score."

8.5 Presentation
Whether it's the broadcast-like splash graphics to the smoother menu navigation, 2K10 delivers an enjoyable basketball experience across the entire game.
8.5 Graphics
Apart from the cloth physics and the strange technical hitches that can plague the on-court play, these are great animations and realistic character models that anchor 2K10.
9.0 Sound
While the 2K Insider can be annoying, the soundtrack is solid, and the trio of Harlan, Kellogg and Miller, supported by the NBA Today feature makes commentary the most natural yet.
8.5 Gameplay
Legacy issues, like missed shots and AI issues, hold the gameplay down, but the new playcalling and refined sprint mechanics definitely strengthen on-court play.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
Tying the ability to bring a created player to an online crew is a great bonus for players trying to get their athletes to the next level. Otherwise, it's the same solid play experience as before.

Don't understand? You pay money for a game which are expensive enough and then you lose the fun element.

Funny as im playing MW2 as I read this...

TurismoGTR4820d ago (Edited 4820d ago )

How is Kobe Bryant "Hooked" on call of duty? no offensive.. but Kobe isn't a gamer, dude is to busy with basketball and life.

I'm so sick and tired of people mentioning "COD" like if you play COD your considered "cool". I can not wait till the series gets milked so hard.. it's going downhill.

SixZeroFour4820d ago

i think hes "hooked" in the sense that its the only game he will play (when he plays videogames)...but i agree, kobe, along with a lot of other athletes are much more focused on their sport and perfecting their craft rather than be a gamer

mikeslemonade4820d ago

He claims to sleep 4 hours a day. He seems like the type of person that would go 100% or not do it at all. So he's gonna play games but since he's not trying to be the best he's only gonna play a little bit. Lebron is better than Kobe though!

Fred-G-Sanford4820d ago

"but Kobe isn't a gamer, dude is too busy with basketball and rape."

Fixed.

How could a legend like Fred G. Sandord only have 2 bubbles... Proof that this bubble thing just does not work here on n4g!!! ;)

Kobe Bryant 1st or 2nd greatest player ever, it's either him or lebron can't go wrong with either picks.

Wenis4820d ago

At least hes not as egotistical as Lebron. I can't stand the self proclaimed king or chosen one or whatever the hell he has tattooed on his back.

klashawnd4820d ago (Edited 4820d ago )

Michael Jordan. Case closed.

@Wenis - He's just as if not more egotistical than LeBron. And that's a fact.

manaxknight14819d ago

at least in this generation, he is the best...

NLGSean4819d ago (Edited 4819d ago )

I don't think he is a core gamer, but he seems to dig COD... Didn't he buy that Call of Duty Black Ops Jeep some time ago?

Must be nice to have millions...

SwampCroc4820d ago

he should maybe stop playing COD and maybe start playing some Basketball... doesn't look like the Lakers year this year...

saladthieves4820d ago

This is just....eh, I have no words.

bwazy4820d ago

News Companies actually paid this guy to ask Kobe that question?

The fuck?!
