It's EA Sports' dunk machine versus 2K Sports' double-dribbler in a battle for basketball supremacy. This week, NBA fans have two great basketball games to choose from: 2K Sports' NBA 2K10 and EA Sports' NBA Live 10. Over the past few years, 2K Sports has easily taken control of the court, with excellent gameplay, a terrific presentation and online features. However, EA has slowly caught up, with NBA Live 10 the best in the series. Of course, there can only be one winner, so we pit these two hoops games against each other to see which one takes the championship.
New year... and I'm back on the Jace Hall Show website with my weekly snarky looks at recent gaming headlines.
Yes, I'm comparing the people wanting to burn violent video games with someone...
Rudy Gay has emerged as one of the big stars of the youth-driven Memphis Grizzlies, who have established themselves as a team to be reckoned with in the NBA Playoffs. The former UConn star has transferred his scoring prowess from the college hardwoods to the NBA quite seamlessly. And the NBA All-Star has stayed in touch with fans using the latest technology. In 2008, he teamed up with YouTube to get video of dunks that he could use as inspiration for his own performance in the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. Gay also is an avid gamer. In 2009 he teamed up with EA Sports to provide motion-captured moves for NBA Live 10. He talks about his love of video games in this exclusive interview.
lol I remember back in the day putting Randall Gay on my team in madden just so I could bring the Gay blitz on the qb lol.
Since entering the NBA in 2004 after a stellar two seasons at the University of Arizona, Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia 76’ers) has emerged as the main attraction in Philly. The same fickle fan base that once cheered for Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson is now behind Iguodala as the Sixers take on the Miami Heat’s trio of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in the NBA Playoffs. Iguodala is a master at stealing the ball from opponents and has a solid all-around game, which helped turn the Sixers around in just a year and jettisoned them back into the hunt for a championship. Iguodala lists videogames as one of his hobbies, so when he’s not on the real court, he’s likely playing basketball or football on Xbox 360. The NBA star talks about his gaming habits in this exclusive interview.
