Brilliant game. That aside...

Some classes are still broken (SMs have no flying or properly pathfinding pets, ones that require a summon each time you take off and land/ glide a certain distance).
Some mechanics are still broken (No Crit for Spells, yet spellcaster items are stacked with the bonuses).

Visually, the game is masterclass for an MMORPG. And the PVP is fun as Hell and only takes a bit of a hit in mass combat - nothing like the WRETCHED slideshow that WAR was.

All in all, it's a great game so far. I'm as interested in it as I was in WOW way back when it launched. For me, it's that immersive. That said, I think it's about a year and/ or an expansion away from being an amazing, genre defining game.

But if there's any title in the past decade that has a chance at the glory of EQ and WOW, it could be Aion. IF the developers keep working on the community and bugs in the game.

It shares similarities with WOW, but it's not the same game at all. Don't be surprised when you're having a blast PVEing near an Abyss gate and a swarm of Elyos come down and $hit all over your face.

It's THAT kind of game. If you're expecting WOW, prepare to be either disappointed or pleasantly suprised.

Oh, and it has all the grindy bits to MMORPGs that you've come to love and hate.
