Doesn't it defeat the purpose of releasing a bundle with nothing going for it but a larger HDD, when the PS3 is capable of just letting you place any HDD you want inside of it? I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a $299.99 slim and slap in like a 500GB HDD for about $60?

Oh yes, 60gb box was the biz carrying it away with the handle. Than my favorite part was when I bought a 320gb HDD off zipzoomfly.com for $50 and installed it.. but you know, some people use geek squad, so I understand why this SKU exist.

Hey guys i wanted to ask u something, If I buy a Japanese PS3 game like FFXIII for example and get the Trophies for it, then again get the US version, will the 2 Trophies be different ??? do the different region games have their own Trophies so I will get 2 Trophies for the JP and US version of the games ???

If it's talking about UK, it comes selected bundle with a game, however it's not pre-packaged packed in. Like the Fifa 2010 250 gig bundle, or pes 2010 bundle in spain, etc.

*sigh* once again, something so simple has been turned into a fanboy antic. I dont mean what the system offers, im saying for $100 more all you are getting is 130GB more space than the $299 model. With the higher 360 models you are getting 2 free games and with the MW2 bundle you are getting a free game, headset, 2 controllers etc. I was just expecting the same from this 250GB SKU.

But THANKFULLY there are still some gamers on this site who can answer questions properly. Thanks Cyrus365, didnt know about those bundles which is why I was asking.

Not too sure. Now that everyone who had a PS3 already purchased the slim and those waiting on a price drop picked up theres. Then this pops up. Not too sure that this will up the ante. Plus it doesn't count if you trade in your old system for the same system with more gigs.

I don't own a PS3 but I really reccommend that a consumer buy a phat PS3 which has lots more features and looks nicer and buy an easy 500GB hard drive for cheap online.

It took 3 weeks for the 360 to barely pass the ps3 (probably due to Odst). While the rest of the world the 360 still being outsold by 10000 to 30000!!! Do u know how long it would take to get past those numbers, In my opinion once uncharted 2 and the 250gb slim comes out it will jump back once again.

i dont know why anyone would ever buy a PS3 with a bigger hard drive. It's $100 more. For that same $100, you could buy a 500GB hard drive from newegg.
