XSEED has announced the release date for Ju-On: The Grudge in North America.
Bloody Disgusting reflects on a highly unusual addition to the Wii’s library, an official game based on Ju-on: The Grudge that’s also a haunted house simulator.
Jerry from BagoGames says, "Mario games are great for Wii, but what about survival horror games? You wouldn't think it, but the family-friendly box has some satisfyingly creepy titles."
How many times are we going to hear "you wouldn't think these kind of games would be on a Nintendo console?"
Seriously anyone who spews that sounds like an uninformed grandparent. At this point it shouldn't surprise you that any kind of game comes to a Nintendo console.
In fact every console from every hardware manufacturer is family friendly.
I recall a Silent Hill knockoff that never released. Even the name was something similar. It actually looked pretty.
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition needs to be on the list if not number 1!
PROJECT ZERO 2: WII EDITION (If you've never played Fatal Frame 2....this is a good version to play next to the PS2 port on PS3 via PSN)
Dead Rising was also ported to the Wii but I'm not sure if that is a good version or not, but still a horror title.
Cursed mountain is awesome. When using controls, don't make large gestures. Use small flicks and it works perfectly. Great game.
The scariest night of the year is now only two days away, a horrifying evening when strange children knock at the door and refuse to leave without a toll of sweets and candy. It's also the time of year when we willingly scare ourselves witless by playing frightening video games.
To finish off a week-long series of fond Wii remembrances, Nintendo Life wants to highlight some titles from the system's back-catalogue that are perfect for this time of year. It suggests turning out the lights, basking in the tiny blue glow of the Wii power switch and trying these titles this Halloween.
The EU boaxrt for JU-On is absolutely atrocious. I don't know whether to get it.
If I do I'll probably print off the NA or Japanese boxart and use that instead.
I'm totally avoiding it. From my understanding it isn't story driven in the least and is a fricking haunted house sim. AWFUL IDEA! Pretty much it sounds like if you took just the parts of survival horror where stuff jumps out at you nixed everything else and made a whole game around it where the 2nd player can cue events on the first player. I'm sure it's spooky but not fun in the least. Rather get cursed mountain or dead space extraction.
