GameDaily writes: "Unless something inconceivable happens, zombies will never go out of style. People love reading about them (World War Z), watching them die (Zombieland) and blowing them to pieces in Left 4 Dead, Valve's first person shooter where players team up to outlast hordes of undead. Although a sequel debuts November 17th, the publisher continues to support the original with this week's downloadable Crash Course update, available on both Xbox Live for 560 Marketplace Points ($7) and the PC for the low price of free. Bizarre price discrepancy aside, it's a decent update featuring more the same. That's both good and bad, depending on which platform you prefer".
Microsoft has announced that this week's Xbox LIVE Marketplace 'Deal of the Week' will not only feature a single downloadable item at a reduced price, but two. Beginning Monday, 12th April 2010, Left 4 Dead's warmly received Crash Course DLC will be available at a discounted price, alongside the Xbox LIVE Arcade hit, The Maw.
Well, if I didn;t already have Crash Course, I'd definitaly pick it up for 320 MS Points. Not too bothered about The Maw though, to be honest.
When you're interviewing Valve's self-proclaimed 'Mr Awesome', you expect some pretty forthright opinions - and not a small bit of excitement. So CVG is pleased to report that the studio's amiable Chet Faliszek offered both in abundance when we caught up with him last month.
So Left 4 Dead 2 will be on PS3 from the sounds of it.
Great news, Maybe they can do a proper game pack like Orange Box, with new titles on it properly ported. I would love to get both L4D 1 and 2 on 1 disc.
Not interested in L4D 1 or 2 - The next Half Life episode, on the other hand.... Make it happen please!
A piece showcasing the best custom Left 4 Dead campaigns interspersed with humorous sections in the character of the Vietnam War veteran Bill: "When they broke the news that we were deploying to Vienna, I didn't expect the damn 3 hour tour. I mean, it's the apocalypse – not some damn skirmish on hamburger hill, and all Zoey could think about was shopping at some fancy foreign department store."
After the huge backlash from the those that were outraged by a sequel coming out soo soon that Valve have the nerve to charge for the 360 version...Microsoft once said they have to charge for content on the marketplace well that is a lie because there is free content on the marketplace like content for games, themes and pics.
