VGChartz: MotorStorm: Arctic Edge Review

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is the real deal; a fully fledged MotorStorm game on the PSP, warts and all. Nothing has been left out, from the slightly dodgy slow-mo crashes and frustrating rubber-band AI, to the ambitious track designs, familiar gameplay modes, mounds of extras and full-on racing carnage. That in itself is an impressive achievement. However, Arctic Edge does no more to evolve the series than Pacific Rift; it merely transfers the experience to the PSP. If that's exactly what you were looking for in Arctic Edge then you should definitely consider purchasing it, but those hoping for a much-needed evolution of the series should steer clear.

I hope it's better than the ps3 games.

Veneno5352d ago

Well it's just below ODST in average score, so you can take refuge in that!!!

Good review. I still wont buy a PSP though. Too expensive and the DS is too appealing.

With all of the PS1 classics, I cant resist. I have an original PSP, I just need a bigger memory stick.

Love playing FFVII and Resident Evil on my PSP.

This review is almost convincing me to buy this game

A much needed evolution? Are they talking about Motorstorm? I know they didn't just say that about my favorite racer ever. Whats it with these noobs that call themselves gamers? They wouldn't know an awesome game if it slapped them across the face and called em mama.

Top 10 PlayStation Portable (PSP) Games

Carl Williams writes, "The PlayStation Portable was Sony’s first stand alone portable and boy was it a special platform. The power of this bad boy was about on par with the PlayStation 2 console, could play PSOne titles, had a large library (over 1,300 games worldwide), and it was one of the first portables to offer Internet surfing out of the box. Whew. That is a lot of games for fans to sift through, a lot are region specific releases (but the PSP is not region locked). Here are my Top 10 PlayStation Portable games – got a beef with one? Let me know in the comments!10) Mega Man Powered Up"

I'm making $86 an hour working from home. I was shocked when my neighbor told me she was averaging $95 but I see how it works now. I feel so much freedom now that I'm my own boss. This is what I do>> http://www.fl-y.com/3qx0

Vice city stories was amazing, I remember owning vice city with all prostitution rings lmao

Lord_Ranos3606d ago

That red PSP always looked beast. xD Its games are the best for mobile entertainment. Something the Vita surely needs currently.

God of War Chains of Olympus over God of War Ghost of Sparter?

ehhhh

DJ-DK7863606d ago

Maybe I should re-play Ghost of Sparta...

Th3o3606d ago

Really great choices but I would've swapped out liberation with Disgaea or a persona game... PES 3 was amazing on vita...too bad there was no free roam:(

DJ-DK7863606d ago

Thanks! Maybe I'll look into having a round with those games, could change my mind. :)
