DualShockers writes,
I can guess that most of the people who are reading this have either a PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360. I can also guess that a good majority of you update your console to the latest firmware whenever it is available. I would also like to believe that each and every one of you would have faith in that Microsoft and Sony would know what they are doing when they implement a new firmware. However, for quite a few people, the last statement may have caused a burst of laughter or a snort of anger.
Backward compatibility works for many games on newer consoles, but titles such as The Simpsons: Hit and Run have been left out.
From base building to swinging willies, here are the best survival games around, which include a couple of less than obvious picks.
It turns out that many moons ago, Microsoft once had its eye on the Sony published LittleBigPlanet series.
Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.

They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.
They're scum.
"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."
Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.
Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.
But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?
Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.
oh noes!
That is why I think that gamers need to get vocal and show that we are a community.
I agree about downloading updates i have a 60g from day one and i never updated until the end of the week and now with these problems i have not download 3.00 and 3.01 cause of to many issues so i wait 4 next update and to see whether or not the problem is solved
No problems at all besides normal things, 3.00 I finish Uncharted on it and other games people said had problems I played and Bluray now? yeah right I been watching alot of movies on bluray an not problems their to.
The closest thing to a problem I get is my PS3 no getting the wireless net, but then again are ATT&T we get isn't the best and the wireless box is very weak vs NetGear.
Firmware tests should definitely be done rigorously before releasing anything. A lot of the times, that's the biggest issue. Companies like Sony and Microsoft usually try to rush things out in order to patch things as quick as possible to prevent the community from exploding. Although I'm for releasing hasty fixes, I believe that taking their time on something that we can definitely TRUST, is much more valuable than having something that's fast and buggy. Not everyone experiences these bugs, but for those that do, it's a b1tch.
